    iTunes used to be a shining example of perfect software (on OS X anyway) until they decided to add everything but the kitchen sink.

    And no, Macs don't use the same hardware as PCs. Macs use the same hardware as old PCs. See the entry model of the latest Mac mini for a shining example of crap hardware at Apple prices.

    The next version of systemd will have a built-in Facebook login. The version after that will integrate Facebook itself.

    I thought Javascript only had the ability to open a file via a prompt asking the user to select which file to read.

    Actually the ISO 8601 date format is YYYY-MM-DD, not YYYY/MM/DD.

    If Java was really OS-independant, Minecraft would be able to run on all operating systems. But it's Windows-only, so there you go.

    It's the one platform that's OS-independant, at least in theory.

    It gives me hope that all four major browsers are in this together but at the same time it's going to give me nightmares about what the advertising companies are going to do with it.

    I hope nobody messes up the sandboxing of this whole thing.

    The question is, now that Microsoft is allowing cross-platform games, will Square Enix make FF XIV for the Xbox One? That would make their game available on three* platforms.

    * I don't count the PS3 as being another platform, just an older generation. And the Mac version isn't really a Mac version since it's an emulated port that sucks.

    Because they're not important for most Raspberry Pi uses.

    The important specifications are:
    - direct connection via USB
    - low power (5VDC @ 0.55A = 2.75 watts)

    What's strange is their compatibility list:
    - Raspberry Pi Model B+, 2 Model B, 3

    So it's not compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero?
