I am not arguing it is lawful. I am just saying it is a better analogy. That's all.

If I walk into your house through the unlocked front door while you are not home, does it protect me from trespassing charges if while I am there I made your bed and did your dishes?

  8. Questionable decision on Amazon To Cease Sale of Apple TV and Chromecast · · Score: 1

Other than being a bit on the unethical/immoral side, this decision is questionable for the benefit it will give to Amazon. Instead of trying to improve their products to make them better and more lucrative to competition, Amazon is trying to stop people buying competitive products through their store. This will not stop people who want to get Apple TV or Chromcast to get it. The only effect this decision has is to show their true face, and lose whatever faith people had in them. I don't see how the outcome will be good for them by this decision..

Yeah, basically "the clause in the act indemnifies car manufacturers against criminal penalties". A non-paywalled linked with a bit more info: http://www.wsj.com/articles/vo...

I'll just avoid the merchants that require it. My local Home Depot has a sign up saying that after tomorrow they will no longer swipe credit cards. Guess I'm going to Lowe's.

What is the logic behind that? Why wouldn't you want to use a more secure way to make payments? What's the drawback?
