That's kindof the idea behind Triple-DES. Description here. DES was deemed too easy to break, so Triple-DES was born and is still used in some applications today. Used properly, it turns the effective 56-bit key length of DES into 168 bits in Triple-DES.
HERE are some fairly high quality pictures and a few low-res mpeg movies capturing the action from the FIRST regional held at Kennedy Space Center earlier this year.
Pay special attention to movie 3 catching the fine art of balancing the bridge - a key component to high scoring in this years challenge.
Here's how I managed a CD Burn. First I downloaded the 50MB FreeBeos 5 distribution. Ran that.exe and it installed itself onto about 500+MB of windows disk space. The big be.image file is 500MB. My first attempt was to just copy all those files in the BeOs directory to a CD, but that didn't quite work. Here's what ended up working 1. I made a boot floopy using the BeOs tool that was installed as part of the BeOs5 install above. 2. I ran the Win 500 MB BeOs by clicking their link (had to hit space bar during beOs boot to get a safe video mode). 3. I mounted my C hard drive under BeOs from within Beos 4. I ran the BeOs included CDBurner application and burned just one track. the 500 MB image file in the BeOs folder on the C: drive. 5. Now pickup at the target machine I really want to install on to and not be limited by Windows or 500 MB. Stick in the BeOs boot floppy from #1. 6. Stick in the CD we just burned 7. Boot up machine. May need to hit space bar to choose CD ROM to load from and safe video mode. 8. BeOS loads from the CD and then I can install to hard drive using built in partition tools. Posted this running BeOs browser from 1.5 GB partition. Good Luck! jrw
As a happy user of CookiePal I recommend it as a cookie filter for windows users. Pops up a window when first seeing a cookie from a new site - you select to allow, deny, forever deny, or forever allow. Also lets you edit your view/delete your existing cookies. You make the settings once, it applies them regardless of the browser you are using. Here's a review of version 1.0 (version 1.5 current). Its not free, but its cheap. $15 USD.
i've been able to recover from the "hand over link appears but click doesn't do anything" by toggling JavaScript off and back on. Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> "Enable Javascript" (but i do see the orphaned threads mentioned here.) jrw
