And even though I think they ARE using Linux PARTIALY because of the market I also think there is nothing wrong with this as everyone else does it and no one gripes about that. I belive that/. is giving it so much attention because it is a cool new product, being able to upgrade your PC via the net.. that kicks ASS and is DEFINATELY news for nerds and stuff that matters!
Ahem... obviously you have not even placed a blind eye on the deCSS code or docs. DeCSS decrypts the data to encrypted DVD data so that it can be played without using a standard DVD player. It has absolutly nothing to do with copying the DVD whatsoever OR winblows. I think you been reading CNET and ZDNET too much...

When I began typing the message Slashdot had no posts, we must have posted within a minute of eachother, I apologize, I wasn't trying to be a dumbass. He got 1st post. But this issue about Netscape is extreamly rediculas, I'm so sick of everyone out to get a quick buck and taking down(sometimes) good companies with them. It's sad what our society has come to where a piece of green paper is more important than our greatest personal morals.
How can you say that? Stop watching TV? And miss Red Dwarf??? You must be NUTS! Not to menchion Dr. Who, Futureama, Family Guy(the baby is histarical) and Star Trek(Voyager SUCKS). Anyone have any additions to this list(other than X-Philes)
AIBO will make you want to laugh out loud with all of its unique dance-like tricks. It may even hula dance for you!
If there is anything dumber than a DANCING robotic dog let me know... it'd be semi-cool if it weren't for that but... I can't get over the dancing next thing they're going to say they are changing it to Winblows 98 amd issuing a special Gates version with built in pie-evading capabilities. Thats alright I'll keep my $2000 till you release a K9 replica w/ built in nose laser:)
