In his exhaustive etymological study of the terms "piracy" and "intellectual property," Professor Justin Hughes of Cardozo Law School traces the equation of "piracy" with infringement to an English bishop named John Fell, who lived 1625-1686."

  4. It's important to be able to forget in many cases however, so that every sentence doesn't become a life sentence. Justice should be about rehabilitation as well. Obviously if a person represents an ongoing problem, affected parties should be able to check that.
