    There are alternatives, like Ixquick/Startpage and DuckDuckGo. You don't *have* to use Google.

  3. That's an absurd hypothetical situation. If the patient or insurance company is willing to pay for it, or if the doctors have the funds to buy it and perform the work as part of their standard procedures, how are any other patients negatively affected? Advances in medical technology are not zero-sum games. And no, no price is too high to save a life. There's no mention of the cost, but it only took them one day to do the scanning and printing. If that was my wife or mother undergoing that surgery, you'd bet I'd want the doctor to use every method available to increase the odds of success.

    As I understand it, it's a federal program for student visas for STEM students. It basically allows foreign students more to get a H-1B visa to work in the US as a tech worker. It's another method of inflating the labor pool in order to keep wages low, in other words.
