We are able to simulate a few atoms at the moment. In a few decades we will be able to do lots more.
If in hundreds of years, we are able to simulate a sizeable chunk of the universe, surely it would stand to reason WE might be a similar simulation. It might not be provable, but certainly in a different category from angels.
If the name of one of the 11 family happened to be an alias on one of the secret watch lists, wouldn't this be the result?
They can't tell you about the list, because then it wouldn't be secret, so they just have to reject you.
