  1. outsourced music to billbrownmusic.com on Warezed SoundForge Files In Windows Media Player · · Score: 1

I thought Microsoft used Bill Brown to compose all those dreamy melodies:

  2. Tachyon? on A Portable Satellite ISP in the Middle East? · · Score: 1

Also look at a Tachyon solution www.tachyon.com
Don't know about pricing, but they have coverage in the area, and unlike some of the other names mentioned, they focus on data....at broadband speeds....

  3. http://www.poetictech.com/ on The Ultimate Computer Chair? · · Score: 1

I think this was posted on slashdot several years ago.....oh for those wonderfully artificially inflated *dot com* years......where have they gone?

  4. Case in point: Sony VCRs on Has the Quality of Consumer Electronics Declined? · · Score: 1

Years ago in the early 90s SONY VCRs - even the consumer level models were built like tanks - sure they cost a couple hundred, but they lasted well, and had a great feature set.
Nowadays, $69 at Target gets you a SONY VCR that's no better than any of the other brands!

Scan Ebay, and you'll actually see people bidding big $$$ for older Sony VHS VCRs, while new ones aren't really that popular.

  5. FONTS on What's Keeping You On Windows? · · Score: 1

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get all of the fonts in X to look as readable as the way they are on Windows - particularly when it comes to web browsing. I've actually seen Linux devotees fire up web pages under lynx when the *NIX version of Mozilla renders fonts to mere dotty ant-like blocks.

I won't even get in to font management.....

  6. A-class in America? on Fuel Cell Car Goes Cross-Country · · Score: 1

Hell, I'd be amused to death if DC brought fuel-cell cars over to the States in the demonstrated form of an A-Class Mercedes-Benz....yet another European car that *might* have a decent chance around here if the stupid automakers would just try it out.
More likely I suppose, we'll see it in the more upscale models....
