    Seriously, why? What would ultimate proof of life on some God forsaken planet, near some star thats thousands of light years away do for you? What would it do for your family? What would it do for the whole damn human condition?

    Humans are curious. That curiosity has driven us to survive and expand to control planet Earth. Curiosity has brought about everything you know. It separates us from most animal life on this planet.
    Or at least it used to. Now people seem to be more concerned with accumulating wealth and forcing their ideology on others.

    You can also use the address toolbar on the taskbar. You can actually run DOS commands (edit c:\windows\hosts)

    Agreed. Since the beggining of time, children have been learning more complex ideas earlier in life. As an example, a 17 yr old in the stone age would know how to make a spear, hunt animals, and create basic stone tools. I learned how to build a computer from scratch, use advanced math not invented in his time, and how a nuclear bomb is made.

    Some guy couldn't suddenly declare himself a biological virus researcher, and it should be the same with computers, IMO.

    biological virus- Kills person, at worst
    computer virus- Kills HDD, at worst

    computer virus = bio virus?

    So after you install IE6, you can run smarttagkiller.exe and remove all the default smart tags, and change the references to MSFT to link to /. ...or infect millions of computers with trojan horses delivered via outlook that change them to the worst url you can find... :)
