Well, glad to see this chipset is only being inplemented in LOW-END notebook computers. IBM's I series is the lowe end line.. AFAIK, IBM is continuing to use the S3 Savage chipset in most of their new laptops and ATI Mobility in systems that are a couple of years old.
There's this nifty little protocol called "IMAP". Read your mail in Pine, organize it in folders, do whatever. Connect to your mail server via IMAP, and see these same emails, see the same folders you created in Pine, in your GUI mail app. It's all about choice.
Covad DSL: Service should continue unaffected through the Chapter 11 proceedings.
Qwest DSL: Service will continue indefinately, until two hours later when you must recycle power of your Cisco DSL router due to "Red Code scanning". Service may or may not be affected in a couple of months when you are silently switched to MSN IP services.
You may need some technical know-how to get their scripts installed and working to your satisfaction, but Tucows owned OpenSRS is awesome.
You purchase domain "credits" in bulk ($250 for 25 domain-year credits). It's mostly geared towards web hosting companies or developers who register domains for their clients. They are professional, have fast email response time, and cater to the tech-savvy.
Let's not forget the popular SLE44 smartcard emulator for DOS written by PGM. This is the most popular emulator and runs from MS-DOS.
This impact of this program is much higher than that of pitou, imho.
