Why is this front page slashdot? Simply because Slashdot will take any and every opportunity to make Microsoft look bad.
Those OSS drivers do work, you know. I'm writing this over a wireless network with an acx100-based card (D-Link DWL-520+), on Linux.
The best rating system is one where you have to put a rating on a product, but they're only advice for parents.
