If it were a revenge exacted only on the spammer, I'd find it more palatable. But the cost of this reaction is borne by:
* the spammer * other people that live at his address now and who move to that address any time in the next, oh, five or so years * his letter carrier * potentially his neighbors (misdirected mail) * the companies that (in good faith) sent him catalogs that other people (in bad faith) signed him up for
In Texas, at least, insurance certainly does cover damage in a parking lot:
(1) other driver backed into my car (2) other driver sideswiped my car, parked at end of row (3) other driver rear-ended my car at exit (4) other driver did not set parking brake and his "parked" car rolled into my parked car (5) other driver T-boned my car after not stopping at sign
In each case the other driver's insurance paid to repair my car.
If you want to get her an engagement ring but your primary concern is the source of the stones, you have several options:
Option 1: Buy a ring from an estate jeweler, something with an "old European cut". This cut fell out of favor around World War I, so there is no profit for anyone but the jeweler. OEC diamonds are also less expensive than similarly-sized modern stones.
Option 2: Buy a Canadian diamond.
Option 3: Get her the colored stone (emerald, etc.) of her choice.
verizon...at&t...can't receive calls.
You've just described my life!

But then, I never found the pizza prank funny.
