As far as I understand the PDF, it is not a MITM attack. It is a plugin or modification for IE and Firefox that will redirect HTTPS traffic and keys to a proxy server where it can be read by the police.
I use Spurl, which has a nice Firefox sidebar and the possibility to mirror bookmarks automatically to del.icio.us. So in case one of the two services goes down or turns evil, I don't lose all my bookmarks.
Some time ago, I came up with this (stupid?) idea:
What if you would scan your records with very high resolution (say 4800dpi) and then let some yet-to-be-written program analyse the graphic file and convert it into music? i.e. spiralling along the track and detect how wide it is.
The problem with LFS is that after installing some 100 packages, you'll have a big mess because you don't know which file belongs to which package. Upgrading of packages is difficult, uninstalling is impossible.
I've tried SuSE, LFS and Debian (in this order) and I have good reasons not to change my distro again.
It is a big deal if you do it like Klaus Knopper, the author, did it: He uses cloop to transparently decompress the CD-ROM image. Thus he can stuff 1.8GB on a 700MB disk.

They used a grave accent instead of an apostrophe in the title. This IS the slashdot we've come to know over the years.
The same goes for these news sites that have witty punctuation marks in their names...

How does that sound?
Modern operating systems? I must have missed something.
All we currently have is a 40-years-old loader programm for spacewars, which has been extended and patched until FUBAR...
And then there's this DOS thingy... with the teletubby-GUI... know what I mean?
So please, if you know of a modern operating system, tell us!!!
That's what Wikis are all about... Does anybody know of a "WNN" of some sort (Wiki News Network)
