1. Anand posted benches that claimed the 5900U was platform-limited (at 223fps!) running Q3 at 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 8xAF.
2. Lars at Tom's mislabeled the D3 Medium Quality + 4xAA benches as High Quality + 4xAA
3. Kyle and Anand both ran D3 in Medium Quality with 8xAF set in the drivers, despite what seems to be the fact that Nvidia drivers interpret Medium Quality as forcing no AF, while ATI drivers do not
5. ExtremeTech's 3dMark03 build 320 vs. build 330 benchmarks show the Radeon 9800P losing performance in all four game tests with the new build; benchmarks by forum members and Wavey himself demonstrate that ET got it wrong
2step evolved from d'n'b a while ago. It's basically d'n'b with less complex and slower beats, which allows the other instruments to stand out a bit more because they have more room.
Some say it's watered down drumnbass modifyed in ways that allows for easy listening and cheesy melodies:)
Actually it's not. When napster was @ it's biggest CD sales were way up. When napster started to get shut down, cd sales lowered....
See a pattern here?:)
The music industry doesnt care about online music sharing, as long as can they determine (force upon you) WHAT you share....

In most countries a leased line costs several hundred dollars a month. Then there's the ISPs that offer "unlimited" usage for 50 bucks a month by dialing some special number. Problem is that during peak times things slow waaaaaay down, if you even manage to connect at all. And the "unlimited" is not as unlimited as they say, because you get disconnected automatically every 2 hours + they send angry letters to heavy users.
Aye, in the conversations with my friends we also came to the conclusion that a marshall plan for the middle east was needed, along with:
- intelligence: to defend ourselves
- religious pressure: the religious leaders IN THE MIDDLE EAST will have to condemn terrorists and spread anti-terrorism propaganda
- democratisation of some form(and solely that, not forcing our way of life on them)
- pressure on countrys who harvest terro's to banish them, or at least make it harder for the terros to live there.
- some other stuff i forgot
The only reason these people spawn down there is because of the current situation in those regions. Terrorists feed on hopelessness, despair, fear, poverty etc. Thats why retaliation will only spawn more terrorists. A full scale conventional war is exactly what bin laden wants america to do.
If we make sure that somehow these people do no longer have a religious, social, economical or military reason do become terrorists, the problem is solved (but this is very difficult!).

I HOPE you're not being serious....
I totally agree with you on that.
May I also ask on how you feel about the usage of static clipping planes in drivers?

Regular Quake3 benchies are not really of much importance anymore imho. Noone cares if they get either 200 or 300 fps in q3 :)
Things start to get interesting once you enable FSAA and AF....

....there's always MS windows to slow them down to reasonable speeds!
