  1. Cooling Systems for Computer Devices on Commercial Water Cooling, And Quiet · · Score: 1

I am conducting a study at work, trying to evaluate new ways of cooling computer and telecom devices, on many applications, ranging from a simple home appliance, to a data center, or public telephone equipment. We are trying to change the usual solution of cooling an entire room, in order to control the equipment temperature. Our goal is to act directly on the main heat spots, cooling just the equipment case, or compartment, and not the entire room space. By doing this, we can have better temperature control inside the equipment, and of course save lots of energy. This could be used specially on places were equipment is working alone, and almost no human presence is needed (this is very common on many situations). Ex: Not just considering the above case, water cooled, I have seen some products that are designed to cool rack mount systems... What do you think about this issue? Do you consider a solution like this useful? Thanks, rTx
