  1. I own one.. bit of a mixed bag on Commercial Water Cooling, And Quiet · · Score: 1

Just a bit of firsthand knowledge...Been using a Koolance case for about 2 weeks now. Hardware in short supply, had to cannibalize from one of my old cases.. pretty bare bones in the fancy dept. no slide in MB tray or slide out type drive cages.. contrary to reports posted.. the case is heavy but not a gut buster.. I purchased the case w/o PS cooling.. but with a PS that has it's own fan. Now the bad news. Within 24 hrs, while I was sleeping, one of the hoses came loose and pumped all the water into the case.. can we say water and electricity don't mix? I can attest to the wake up ability of the alarm system built into the system.. bloody loud! I was amazingly lucky and survived the ordeal unscathed, without losing a single component.. but scared silly.. yes indeedy...My Athlon 1.2G must of hit absolute max temp.. before I could shut the system off.. tough little bugger to survive the ordeal. My conclusion.. the worst water line clamps I have ever seen.. merely crimped.. after firing off a nasty note to Koolance.. my reply was that a contaminated water solution caused the problem , creating a gas buildup.. thus the extra pressure popped the line. Solution, my own clamps.. runs fine with no more mishaps.. Overall, I like it.. but a serious OC'er should pass (stable at 42C non-OC'd 1.2G T-bird) -that's temp reported by ALI HW Monitor(CPU).. cooling is good, but not great.. quiet as a mouse tho.. and I have one 80mm fan(exhaust), other than the PS fan installed.. If you buy.. drain the fulid, replace it.. and definitely make your own clamps.
