And as soon as you join the EU in May, jobs from Ireland, England, France, elsewhere, will roll your way. Don't sweat it, you're safe for at least 5 years.
You people took the British idea of anarcho-capitalism and ran with it. You reap what you sow. Your trade policies have caused rampant upheaval elsewhere in the world -- what goes around comes around. Suck it up or vote for a different kind of government and get that corporate monkey off your back. Read Marx; capital moves to the edges. You should have seen this coming. IP protection my ass... dream on, peasant.
I hate to be cruel because you seem to be sincere, but maybe your ideas just weren't that good? Speaking as a foreigner living in the US (5 years now, from northern Europe) I think the US is definitely more open to new ideas and better structured to "grow" (sorry) them than where I'm from. The downside of this is that you (and I, now) live in a society where brutal capitalism is the way -- choose social democracy and stability, or cowboy capitalism and opportunity. There doesn't seem to be a "third way" (quoth Blair, Clintin and Schroeder).
Assessment; no proof of WMD. Allow the inspectors time to do their jobs. Avoid a costly and dangerous conflict (even more dangerous for the EU since it is closer). Avoid a naked power grab for control of middle-eastern oil.
Because I neither work for Microsoft, the US, the EU or an EU member-state -- ergo my employer is neither here nor there. Of course it is political. It is political because MS has engaged in monopolistic practises, and the EU is not beholden to MS and so presses the case against them. Why should the EU allow a foreign s/w company come in do that? Would the US allow it?
The US pretty much told europe where to go on the IRAQ issue.
And then the French and German goverments and 80% of the people of Western Europe, the present-day EU that excludes the former Soviet satellites, were proved right in their assessment of the situation. Now what was your point again? That it's all politics? Of course it is, you ignoramus.
Birmingham Six, Guildford Four, and the thirteen gone but not forgotten (Bloody Sunday civil rights marchers). I'm sure there were more than those three examples... now what was your point again? I understand and support the desire for reconciliation and of putting the Troubles behind us, but atrocities, extra-legal killings, show trials and kangaroo courts existed on the British side, too. Let's not forget that.
If I were in England during a rash of IRA bombings I'd expect to be questioned, I am Irish (from a Catholic family) and would likely be travelling between England and Ireland. What I would find unfair would be if they found me guilty instead of just checking my luggage a bit more carefully.
Or check your arse a bit more carefully. I'm Irish too boy, from Co Cork, and I endured two stripsearches with the old "finger up the arse" treatment at Heathrow during the late 80s as I travelled between Ireland and mainland Europe on business. The end result, for me, was an abiding hatred of both Heathrow Airport and of racial or "national" profiling.
How about machines that produce steady electrical power? Or those that supply clean, filtered water? Pauly, do you honestly think that the Iraqis give a flying fuck about Pentium IIs and open source when they don't even have basic security, healthcare, jobs, etc.?

I didn't see any racism in his rant -- the resumes I've read from most Indians are littered with spelling mistakes, terrible punctuation, incomprehensible English, etc. Not that I'm an expert in any of those areas, but sheesh, take the time to make it look halfways decent. Find a truly native speaker to fix it up for you.
Sure you can. I did, and it isn't that hard, even at age 30... Why not at least look into it?
And as soon as you join the EU in May, jobs from Ireland, England, France, elsewhere, will roll your way. Don't sweat it, you're safe for at least 5 years.
What I found offensive about it is that most Indian women are nowhere near as gorgeous as that babe. Talk about yer false advertising!
Nice parry, EvilTwinSkippy! Touche (I dropped the accent, I'm following your lead).
No, you started the whole globalization ball rolling... and the British before you. Suck it up, buttercup.
Nice one, well said.
Newsflash! Stupid Indian found! Of course there are stupid Indians, just as there are stupid people in any country.
"Guilotine".

My G3/600 i[ce]Book runs great with 640MB and Panther... must be something wrong with your G5.
Why would that make it perfect? Really, I'm missing your point.

Interesting. You fail to mention that you work for Microsoft.

It was still funny, and anyone reading it who speaks even rudimentary French would have gotten the joke.

Hahahaahaa! You're fooling yourself! Whigs? You have got to be kidding.

I'd be delighted to take it from you if it is still available.
I'm not a Frenchman, although I used to play one on Slashdot to annoy fuckwits like you.
