I find that for the overwhelming majority of installations, installing from packages is FAR simpler. The drawbacks of "less optimization and control" is far outweighed by saved time. Just look at the popularity of RPM's! If we had to roll our own installs from source for everything... Strive for efficiency and simplicity, you won't regret it.
FYI: The microchips are on the back of the toner cartridges used in two models of laser printers. (Optra S and T models.) This ruling won't affect inkjets. Lexmark's argument is that the remanufacturers violated the DMCA when they reverse engineered the little "lock out" chips that clip onto the back of the cartridges. These chips are designed to allow one use of the toner cartridge only. Don't take my word for it though.
What we really need to do is build a radio astronomy station on the dark side of the moon, shielded from all the nasty RF noise we pump out constantly here on earth.
Is anybody as freaked out as me about the moon having EXACTLY one revolution per rotation...
No deviation at all.
Coincidence???
I understand that in England, tricks can only be played in the morning.

You said...
No, Iraq is not an immediate threat to anybody. Not even it's next door neighbors.
Tell that to Kuwait, or Iran.
In case you didn't know, Hussein's Iraq launched unprovoked wars against both of those "next door neighbors."
Obvious troll, but try to pick up a history book sometime, you just might learn something.
The Firewire version transfers data at 15MB/Sec according to the Iomega site (a USB version is available as well.) Here is the link
I'd die for a window with green suff outside it.
All the way, Mandrake 8... Easiest installation IMHO, which is where most problems exist for newer users.
