As an IT manager at a 5 star hotel in Sydney, Australia - I think that this type of technology enables us to "open up" the space in the room itself - one of the first impressions that Guest get walking into a hotel room is not the artwork but the space. As for why we don't hang better pictures on a wall is that even without expensive artworks our guest rooms cost around AU$850,00.00+ each to outfit already and as long as it matches the decore no-one notices the "average" art piece. It is in the lobby and other public areas thta the "good" art goes. So that our staff can ensure it doesn't go walkies.

No good old Australia is still a constitutional monarchy.
And in fact back in the 70's we had a case were the GG (The Queens Representative) dismissed parliment... Who says the power of the throne is never used?
That being said it is a very stable form of government... Nothing would be worse over here than using the Westminister system and adding an Executive wing of Governmen
