1. it is not recommended to use outlook in the pane view for your inbox. This is for security reasons, look into it. (this is not an endorsement for outlook nor an attempt to have a discussion about outlook, just a fact.)
2. try double clicking on the email that you are reading. then not only can you have both the calendar and the email open, you can alt-tab between them.
DRM issues aside, which in this particular machine has NOT been proven, this machine is just cool. Some people do not have the time or patience to put a machine like this together. And by patience I mean, finding the parts and drivers and piecing together the software. from what I can tell, this type of system is plug and play. Bash me if you wish, but to me, this is what I want and is a very convenient package.
You must take an amazing number of photos per day. I have a 3mp camera that takes 1.5meg average photos. I take (what I consider to be a lot) about 200 photos per month, which I catalog in folders by day. All day folders are under a "set" folder. ie.. set 001 10/1/01 - 12/8/01 that set is then backed up to CD when it is around 640 megs. I average about 8 sets per year, which works out to burning a CD about every 6 weeks. I also have 10+gb of images and find that a CDR is a very effective means of back up. When I get my first 11mp camera I would agree with you, but then I will buy a DVDr.
He also mentions upgrading. In your scenario, he would have to "take" his machine back to wherever just to add a simple device. What I read from his article is that not only does Linux have a steep learning curve, it plateaus MUCH later then windows.
To leave a user input for the email that all the "partner" announcements are to be sent. I left all my choices to yes and changed the email account to abuse@yahoo.com
Why they won't include an AGP slot? I can't get back on the site to verify the specs. but the perfect (to me) config would be to put the NIC, firewire and sound on the MOBO, and have one AGP slot and one PCI slot.
Give peace a chance. HAHA, you are such an optimist. I guess the attacks that happend on 9/11 were just an accident. Maybe if we all yell "give peace a chance" and ram our heads in the sand, nothing else bad will ever happen. To the ones who attacked us, it is not about war or peace, it is about religion. They don't like you at all, you are a fat self obsessed pig to them. They would gladly kill you and think nothing of it. So, let's give peace a chance ok.
If you are going to take the time to critque everyone else, then it is very, very important that your rant be perfect. The way I was taught, it is "in a business setting" NOT "in an business setting". typically one should use an only if the word following begins with a vowel.
Plus, this post (with the error) should not have been moderated to this level.
lack of real world contact info. sometimes a phone call is required.

Then maybe their main site won't get slashdotted.

HAHA, stick that in your spam hole and smoke it.
Well they almost got it right. the memory should have been DDR or Rambus.

"He added the impact would be felt even more strongly because the cuts have come during the holy month of Ramadan."
If I correctly remember the Islamic teachings... Ramadan is a month of relaxation and meditation in which one downloads porn from the internet.
