  1. Presenting SleepDot 2.2 on Welcome to Slashdot 2.2 · · Score: 1

Let's all thank the krew of slashdot for spending yet another late nite improving the quality of the way we recieve our news :)

    *clap clap clap*

I would like to raise a toast... for me, its gonna be one stiff drink and praise the creators, virtual god if we even wanted to call it.

Let's let all the guys know that they should sleep now, and hope that all the bugs get found by morning, BEFORE the main stream rush. If not? Well, we'll all have some more news to keep our eyes on ;)

    Thanks everybody!! ;)

  2. Re:Cute, but very probably very wrong on Matrix Sequel Delayed to 2003 · · Score: 1

I do agree with your observations, I think The Matrix was definately a great film, and I anxiously await the sequels.

Its just that I have this "problem". I've been hearing about the sequals for awhile now, and If I keep thinking about them, the more I'll want to see them now. Its 2001 now, I dont want to wait for the AI robots and clones were building now to possibly take over and destroy the films before we get to see them... Remember, they didnt know what year it happened in ;)

  3. Re:Shooting parts two and three as one movie? on Matrix Sequel Delayed to 2003 · · Score: 1

I'm not too concerned about the shooting multiple movies at once... As long as they dont try to show multiple movies at once like that movie Timecode

  4. "PR" Translator on Matrix Sequel Delayed to 2003 · · Score: 4, Funny

Phrase: Silver assured that the extra time added to the production schedules is simply meant to benefit the quality of both films.

Definition: 1) Normally used to cover ones "butt" in hopes that releasing early of said time makes people feel better 2) We really messed something up, and need more time. Possibly because the plot was lacking, and we dont want another mistake like the new Star Wars (timining coincidence... i think not!) 3) There's been a lack of press, lets bring some hype back up ;)

That seems about right I think!

HAHA, this is awesome, I was hoping someone would catch on to RPI RIP, I mean RPI.... ...."Why not change the world" What kind of school quote is that, "why not change the administration" ;) Much better okok, they're not that bad actually, but spending like almost 50-100 GRAND for the new logo, I could have designed it ;) Take a peak at it: www.rpi.edu L8r ;) -Kleenx Class of '02

  7. News from the AP wire on Human Clock (Complete with Hands!) · · Score: 1

    Headline:
2 People Narrowly Escape burning house, cause under investigation

Portland, OR - In what officials thought at first to be arson, 2 young men narrowly escaped as they found their computer on fire.

The 2 men (who wish to remain nameless) were sitting at home, setting up their ebay auction for "4:20" leasing when they smelt something funny. John Doe 1 went to investigate and found an inferno where his computer once was.

In a brave attempt to save the Tandy TRS-80, setup as the webserver for "humanclock.com", the 2 men attempted to douse the fires with their extreme amounts of spare time. This only agrivated the fire and soon after the 2 escaped

An investigation has revieled that the tape reel, originally meant for 50mb of data, was re-worked to fit almost 4gb. This combined with unexplainable phenominon called the "slashdot effect" caused the tape drive to heat up massivily. At the same time, the overclocked 2.4Mhz (overclocked 200%), running at 4.8Mhz, caused a fire to break loose in the computer's body itself.

John Doe 2 was quoted at the scene saying "damn, i think we just got slashdot raped" while Mr Doe 1 added "we just didnt expect that we'd make it onto slashdot".

Charges have been brought upon Radio Shack/Tandy for "not warning about the risks of overclocking using TRS hardware" and on the entire slashdot community for "causing a mass DOS overload"

More breaking news to come as it happens

  8. People who disapprove the the chairs on Aeron Chairs As Stupidity Barometers · · Score: 5, Funny

Well, there seems to be a decent amount of people who disapprove of the Aeron chairs.

I would like to offer a solution. To help us po' college boys who cant afford a $700 chair, but have to sit in a chair for 12 hours a day trying to code to finish while skipping all meals (well, mac and cheese is TECHNICALLY a meal). *takes another deep breath* I would be willing to offer to take the chairs off people hands ;) Of course i'll pay shipping! And us poor fools who can barely afford the $35,000 a year tuition (yes, we got a $360 million dollar grant, and they hike tuition anyway), can have one of these chairs. (Lets not go into how much books costs!)

For the bunch of us who dont like to go into the fancy management rooms and steal them (I know ppl who have done that), we are sitting on what might as well be concrete.

For all those who sponser a po' boy, you will recieve a photo with your new donation, as well as a life story ;) So act now and help save a poor suffing boy's behind.
