    just main() brings:
    ./drivers/net/skfp/smtparse.c:main()
    ./drivers/isdn/hisax/rawhdlc.c:main()

    The mentioned code was 'main()', not just 'main('. When you start looking for substrings, you can obviously find them everywhere.

    Alright, to play your little game:

    Heck, if unauthorized network intrusion was a simple infraction punishable by a $10 fine I'd probably be wandering around my neighbor's unsecured wireless network right now.

    You do realize most laugh at any laws attempting to protect wireless LAN access, right?
    It's not the laws people are afraid of... quite honestly, morals are the only thing keeping most people out of wireless networks. But, if those morals aren't there (or bypassed by curiousity), then that net is as good as open. Unless your neighbor has some hitech equipment, or is good at catching something resembling a signature that it's you, there's no problem.

    I normally wouldn't have responded, but you sounded so holier-than-thou when talking about these omnipotent laws.

    Not to mention that McDonalds took it back to court quite a few times, each time recieving a lower fine.
    Pretty much, the woman really didn't get anything. I bet she's STILL paying off medical bills.

    You do realize that most coffee maker instructions say to use cold water, right?
    Your coffee doesn't boil when it's in the pot, you also realize that, right? It get's cooler, usually trying to through heat osmosis to obtain room temperature. The burner on the bottom of the pot is what keeps the constant temperature once it's made.
    If that burner is set to 180+, you've got problems.

    Coffee != Acid.

    At least not good coffee....
    You can spill normal coffee on yourself and just go "ouch.. damn that hurts", which is around 140-150 degrees. With coffee 180+, you spill it on yourself and just scream as your trying to remove the fabric that your skin is grafting itself to.

    Actually, if they did their job like they were supposed to, and there was a blatent seperation of Domain Registrar/ISP, there wouldn't be a www.yourdomain.com until you set it up.
    DNS service is a seperate package, usually.

    I don't know about you others, but I'm upper middle class, and the only time I see $2k in my checking account is the day I get my paycheque. I seriously doubt that a housing project family would ever have that much.

    I second that motion. Usually when I see more than $2k in my checking account, I start to wonder if I paid the rent.
    Most people in housing authority housing don't exactly make 2K a month.... so it's gonna be a huge burden.

    One of my friends was sued by the RIAA and was given a few years to pay them. (Many of the people who settle sign an agreement to keep silent, so I can't go into detail)

    Considering the last part of your sentence, are you *sure* it was your "friend"?

    If your friend signed the contract, that doesn't mean you did...

    Anyone with a computer built after 1997 has a system able to use broadband.

    They didn't say she had a Pentium4, they just said a computer. (you can low-end pentiumII/III at yardsales and the such now)

    As far as broadband... that could mean a 25-30 buck connection. Not alot of cash, really.

    Not to mention that I don't know of too many people who instead of using bunzip2, uses bzip2 with the -d flag. Not to mention piping the output to tar.
    I'd be simpler just to do tar -jxvf alsa-driver-0.5.10b.tar.bz2 and call it a day.

    Or doubleclick on the bz2 file in konqueror as you said, and drag-n-drop the contents out. But if your typing, just use the -j flag in tar.

    Though there was a remarkable resemblance with the environment. It gave an AI feel.

    Fortunately, as much as I hate to admit it, not all who watch NFL football are drooling idiots. Just the majority... the rest are the management. Okay okay... so there isn't much of a difference other than payscale.
