    It would be even better if there were a similar site for bills being considered. I did a keyword search for CBDTPA and got 0 results... hmmm.

    I assume you used Thomas? Try the full name (or even a subset). A search on "Consumer Broadband" brings up S.2048 as the #2 result.

    You still have to wade through the spam periodically to check for false positives, in case something you did want to receive got filtered.

    At the risk of sounding AOL, "Me too!"

    I had a 10MHz AST 286 (with a whopping 8MB RAM) running Xenix SysV/286 (2.3.2). Served a small workgroup of about 8 people.

    Later, we used ODT 2.0, ODT 3.0 and OSR5. The ODT2 system ran for 7 years straight with a single reboot (hardware upgrade -- added a second internal SCSI drive).

    So much for those memories... Of course, I think that the SCO that we knew died when it was bought by Caldera.

    Don't ask me why Win9x notepad was designed like this.

    Because it was essentially a menu wrapped around an edit control, and edit controls have a 64K limit in Win9x.

    Yes, it was purely political, but not because of civilian casualties. GW1 was sold to the UN and Arabs as "Liberate Kuwait". If we had gone on to Baghdad, it would have been quite possible that Saudi Arabia would have gotten pissed (why do you think that we're staging in Kuwait and Qatar for this one), and told us to leave.

    SwapIt.com? -- What, you gave them your CDs for credit to buy other people's used CDs? Surprised the RIAA didn't shut them down before they went tits up :-P

    See there are theese little things called borders in the real world,

    Tell that to the French (Yahoo! case), the Aussies (Libel case), the US (Sklyarov), and the MPAA and RIAA (anything that would have them think up a new business model for the 21st century).

    Not quite. Whiners whose power depends on our elected representatives giving them credibility. And when they show up with a briefcase full of bribes^Wcampaign contributions, they get what they want.

    Of course, ACTUAL sales are only supposed to be down 3%, but some of the CDs that they won't sell have more songs than others, so they're it's adjusted to 6% to account for that.
