I just visited the "Vend-A-Temp" site. If you click through on the link to "Live Help Online" you'll actually be talking to a "Vend-A-Temp" representative. I was offered a job in India for about $3/ day! Pretty good deal!
They should start relying more on infomercials for their revenue. Imagine potential customers getting a good view of the said product before buying it. Maybe a review of the product against its competitors. These channels would be used just like using the internet, to find reviews of certain products i'm interested in buying. How about offering a 1-800-number to buy the product. Saves me more time than entering credit info on the net. Plus i get the added bonus of talking to someone on the phone if i have any other questions about the product being sold.
How about a channel that sells or reviews computer hardware, network hardware, software etc....
I wonder how they're going to pay for this expensive GPS system now that they can't issue speeding tickets. Makes me wonder if they'll implement some other crazy scheme to get their ROI.
i just like to say that Rambus has introduced higher latencies on their bus due to their so called 'innovation'. Therefore any gains in bandwidth comes with the by-product of latency and that's why it had been proven that Rambus was at best just barely beating sdram pc100 memory in all kinds of benchmarks. If you want more information on Rambus and the truth about it go to www.tomshardware.com and do a search on Rambus. You'll be glad you did.
Has anyone been to www.rambusite.com?

I go there once in awhile for a few laughs and sometimes feel sorry for the 'longs', the ones who are in it for the long run. If you get a chance take a look at this post 'fortune takes on Rambus', here's the link http://www.rambusite.com/cgi-bin/forumcgi/display. cgi?preftemp=temp&page=topic0/sub1919.dat&preftemp =temp
Take a look at their response. You'll come to the conclusion that they've been brainwashed by the company's cult-like PR department.
In all seriousness, consumers do not prefer free software or open source, unless by consumers we mean the tiny community of open source system administrators.
By the way, consumers do not have a choice in choosing software. Lets say you buy a DELL, Compaq or IBM branded computer. Forget about getting pre-installed Linux on their consumer laptops or branded boxes.
The reason is that commercial software is superior to free software in features, friendliness, attractiveness, performance, and reliability.
You must be kidding!M$ is NOT reliable in any form. In the Price versus performance ratio Linux wins.
Attractiveness is not all that important but is a plus to have and Linux will need more work in that area especially in user friendliness. Lets not forget that with development Linux can easily overcome these small hurdles and it will.
And i'm not a tinkerer. I needed a stable router/firewall for my 486 hence i'm using LRP (Linux Router Project). Saving the environment and saving me money too.
Blue screens.
It's no surpise that SCO is targetting Aussies. Just have a look at their stock.

This eerily sounds like the movie matrix. All we need is some computers that are smart enough to think for themselves.
