    one question: what's faster.. a p2 running at 300mhz.. or a cyrix chip running at 350mhz.. mhz doesn't mean shit.

    Plus the ps2 has 2 vector units. Try getting a game like gt3 running on a 350mhz pc.. good luck

    that's good, his goal is to make his game unplayable on very high end hardware.. 30fps is too slow these days.. 60 is the bare minimum

    yeah I also have an sblive and sennheisser hd570's

    and 128k mp3's sound like poop compared to ~128k vobis encoded files.

    also with music production more mhz means more voices and fx you can do at once in software...

    Paying 700$ to upgrade my celeron system to an athlon 1.4 ghz is alot cheapoer than spending 3000$ on new music gear.

    sure they can handle a dual-boot but a kernal compile? I think people will be using ms-windows instead of x-windows for a long time

    good point, no reason to fix something that ain't broken... but eventually microsoft will 'force' you to upgrade... like all the people who upgraded from windows95 to 98 to get proper usb support
