Having to wait until 2006 is going to cost them alot. Of course, this case will be used as a landmark decision for cases in other countries besides Australia...
Any major company that has a presence on the Internet is tied to advertising in some way. I'm not sure you will always have the full picture of who uses Spyware purposefully or not.
This is good to hear and is truly revolotionary for the home broadcaster. In comparison, Podcasting is not "realtime" broadcasting, I imagine peercasting will have a more "live" feel.
If you don't want the Gimp splash screen, just turn it off. I'd actually like to see what the artists come up with; I would hope it is a requirement that Gimp must be used to create the artwork.
Hopefully by the time that happens, I won't even need to see a computer monitor, i.e. other sensory input methods. If you your eye site is going bad already, you should have listened to C. Everett Koop.;)
I could be wrong here, but isn't this smart card just a hardware key with some crypto abilities? I have one on my keychain right now. You hold it up to the card reader and the door 'magically' unlocks.
I assume Mcafee most likely added this feature because of Norton. It looks like antivirus software attempting to detect much more than viruses. Maybe they could clean out those evil cookies from this website.;)

FreeBSD rules, it provides everthing I need for serving. I don't run a desktop, so I don't need bloatware.
For get about the money, "almost impossible to copy" sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
I was always under the impression that viruses are commonly reverse engineered. Doesn't sound like news to me.
