Who cares if its a Microsoft like UI, its still Linux and its still stable isnt it? One of the things that helped Microsoft become such a standard WAS their UI. I say if Gnome makes their UI like Microsoft, more power to them. It will only help bring more of the mases away from MS and closer to Linux. In fact, anyone that comes up with a clone of the MS UI for Linux will quickly gain a user base.
I guess the Aussies didnt read the slashdot article that was posted TWICE I might add about the new energy saving lightbulbs causing interference with wireless networks? How long before their 110 Million dollar network stops working?
Maybe we really will travel thousands of billions of miles away to 'Earth2' only to be stranded, live with 'terrestrials', and idiots that want to petrify the land for them selves. On the upside we'll have one really hot doctor;-)

This is interesting because recently I upgraded to RH 7.3, and in X I sometimes get a frozen box and find myself reaching for the reset button....hmmm. Does anyone using RH 7.3 have this problem, or a fix to it?
I always remember playing SimCity on my friends TI-86 during math class, does this mean I can play it on a PDA too?! Anyone else play SimCity on a TI? It was pretty damned good for a calc game.
Automated software on ALL the workstations...are you NUTS? Just set up a server and have their logins map out a home directory based on their username, then tell them if they dont save their files to their home directory, anything that happens is not your fault and they are SOL. Linux/Samba would be good for this, just set up a cronjob that backs up something like/home/directory/*users*/ nightly to a tape drive.
Something to rival those damn X10 cams. And now that Im going off to college in co-ed dorms...maybe its small enough to hide in the girls showe...crap! Ive given away my plans, NOOOOO!
Yes, I believe that every parent should give their hot 16+ year old daughter a digital camera to send *pictures* to all of her 'friends' on the internet.
