Because every country on the planet teaches about itself and doesn't seek to run down its own accomplishments. Well, until America 1995 or so, we do that here now.
Pretending that it's somehow equal is totally wrong. The Left utterly banished opposing opinions from the airwaves. It got so bad that conservative opinions retreated all the way to AM radio, a terrible ghetto, to be heard. I mean, come on, AM radio? It's a wonder that it still exists, and I had that thought 30 years ago. Then Murdoch started his Fox news, but what else? Prior to the rise of citizen journalism on Youtube, there was hardly anything but tame, controlled opposition which would be allowed to say something non-controversial and then refuted by the two other talking heads and the hosts.
LOL u joking bro? They shut down the speech of people they disagree with with violence. Antifa are not Anti Fascists. If they were...they would attack Hillary, Bush and Sorosï. They wear masks and black shirts. They bear a great resemblance to the very people they claim to oppose. At what point do you ask yourself, "Hans, are we the baddies?"
And imagine the new powers the government will need to do these things, and the way that the people in the government will abuse the shit out of them to deliberately harm us. Look what just happened with the Democratic Party, its chairman came right out and confessed to corruption you'd see in a tinpot third-world "democracy". And you want to give these people power? WTF, these people would have fucking Cabinet positions if the Democrats had won.
The world is going to applaud loudly when the Americans get knocked off their perch. The world is sick of a 'strong America' striding the globe arrogantly, visiting war, mayhem, regime change and murderous interventions with impunity. The legacy, still continuing since WWII has been a global holocaust of peoples who've died, been injured as a result of the US's cult of impunity, acting as a rogue state outside international law. Many have got so used to US global behavior they accept the rogue state to act as it wants, without constraint or recourse to international law.
A 'weak America' is good news NOT bad news. We can only hope that its aggressive foreign policy and murderous military will one day diminish, and the US ceases to run amok, murder and maim, treating the rest of the world as its deadly playground.
U kidding me? The Chinese broke into American systems left and right, stole the blueprints to so much high tech, and used it to found companies of their own. This isn't even remotely controversial.
I also find it distressing that such an overtly racist comment can be modded up to +5. WTF, Slashdot?
What! No way. China has the Great Firewawwhcihich is usually understood to be a barrier to exit, but is also a barrier to entry. They will wall off their own Chinese internet and block all others from coming in. They will have a safe, walled garden and the world can go F itself. They have absolutely zero gratitude to the West for supplying them with technology. They think we're total morons for letting them rob us blind. Can't say I disagree.
LOL u mad bro? Just because TEH ROOSHINS did something doesn't mean there weren't genuine feelings behind it. But that's apparently what you're saying. We were all set to vote for the most corrupt politician in a generation, but poof TEH ROOSHINS spent a mere $100k on facebook ads and we all decided to vote Trump instead. If only someone else had the idea to spend money like that...oh wait it happened.
The Daily Beast reports that Clinton SuperPac âoeCorrect the Recordâ is openly admitting to spending $1 million to hire fake online Hillary supporters to swarm social media sites like Reddit and counteract Sanders' [actually existent unpaid] enthusiastic supporters' points about Hillary in the interest of âoeunityâ. Barf.
Oh, and plenty of people still believe in Communism, most of them are at universities rotting the minds of our youth. Maybe the EU doesn't represent the people of Europe, it only represents the interests of the EU. It's hilarious that you bring up the "blame the dirty foreigners" accusation when it is you doing precisely this with the Russia thing. It is always psychological projection, that's why you always shout racism because you're racist as fuck yourselves and it makes you feel better to accuse others. Hey, wait, aren't you the ones that call America a white supremacist racist settler nation whose only fate is annihilation? When did you suddenly discover patriotism LOL? I thought the only use for the flag you had was to set it on fire and laugh at anyone who got hurt feelings. You don't feel proud to stand for America because you don't feel that America offers anything worth being proud of.
The leaks (DNC emails were not hacked but leaked) proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Democrat party was corrupt to the core. You'd be shouting "LOL prove it" if this was not the case.
Wasn't Manafort with the Trump campaign for just a couple or three months? And they booted him for appearing shady? I had an employee once that ended up in prison, twice. Am I responsible for his actions? At the time nobody wanted to work for Trump, and Manafort was an experienced campaign manager (Bob Dole in 1996) who had experience with delegates, an area where Trump was sorely lacking. So he wasnâ(TM)t even hired for his Russia connections, but because he had experience in the areas they needed help with.
Manafort leads to Podesta Group investigation which is already done. The Podesta Group leads to Uranium One investigation which Mueller has to recuse himself from (because he was part of it and is conflicted). Enter Jeff Sessions. Uranium One investigation leads to Clinton Foundation which leads to convictions, jailtime and one for the history books. End of story.
It is merely an honest evaluation of Russia's geopolitical situation, which existed long before Trump and the current Red Scare Part II. Some of us actually follow military affairs, you know. But hey, don't trust me, look at the facts. Russia is hemmed in and losing badly. To add to it, war hysteria is being deliberately whipped up and educated people who should damn well know better are falling for the "blame the dirty foreigners" narrative.
I always wondered what it would be like to live through a Red Scare. Now I know. The hysteria is astounding. It's as though TEH ROOSHINS are some hyper-competent adversary capable of anything, who can reach from afar and destroy us with $100k of facebook ads.
I think a far more likely scenario is straight up denial. If Brexit and Trump are accepted at face value, you might have to realize that the people rejected you, and you'd have to change. You'd rather die than admit the dirty commoners have a point, so the "blame the foreigners" narrative - the oldest trick in the book, one that educated people should never fall for - is suddenly in vogue. Maybe, just maybe, the people don't agree that the EU is a good idea and maybe they don't agree that Crooked Hillary - who we know for a fact now rigged the election - might not have been the best choice for US president. Hell, she reacted to her loss by raging and getting drunk every day...boy we dodged a bullet there.
What, u joking bro? There were tons and tons of educated Americans who sided with Communism in the 1940s and 50s and 60s and 70s and 80s. Harry Dexter White was a Russian spy. Alger Hiss was a Russian spy. Robert Hansen was a Russian spy. They were all up and down the US government, and somehow we still won the Cold War. Ted Kennedy colluded with the Russians in the 1984 election. Let's not pretend this is something unprecedented. The only thing unprecedented is Russia's extremely poor geopolitical position, their shrinking economy. declining population, and the fact that they're surrounded by hostile American bases.
A substantial number of Hispanics in California wish to join their part of the state politically to Mexico. Northern California becomes the state of Jefferson. Just hold a plebiscite, composed of all residents. Doesn't matter about citizenship, just the people on the territory. This is standard UN practice, it's how East Timor got away from Indonesia.
I feel you don't understand international relations very well, or more likely never had any interest until a year or so ago. You have a very surface understanding with no grasp of the underlying issues. Russia is very much a regional power with nukes. They've had their ICBMs for a long time and nothing has changed. Cutting them off from Crimea cut them off from the Black Sea, which is intolerable. It seems you're unaware of this.
Educated people don't use phrases like "fucking shee-it", those are tells of working class morons. Your hyperpatriotism and America First attitude seem to back this accusation of provincialism. You've been deceived; Russia is a paper tiger. However, it is very useful for you to hate them. I thought you would have learned your lesson to stop seeing Russians under the bed after your bad experience with McCarthy. But I guess not.
Ukraine isn't a part of NATO and thus not a US vassal state. Crimea had a free and fair vote to join Russia - the same kind of vote a lot of people would like to have in California to see if they want to join Mexico. You appear to be beating the drums of war and making Russia out to be some gigantic scary threat when in fact the US has the problem well in hand already. Russia a long time ago lost its place as a superpower. Now it's a regional power with nukes.
The biggest threat to world peace is American imperialism and NATO is merely their tool. This is hardly a controversial conclusion nor one unbacked by copious evidence. Europeans state their greatest threat is America. Russia? Not even in the top 10.
The NATO countries have been demanding we leave for decades. Stop playing world police has been shouted loudly and often. "Ami go home" is spraypainted outside every US military base. Do we really have something to lose as Americans if we pull back our external activity? The Cold War is over, and it seems the more fingers we have in pies like NATO, the Middle Eastern countries, and so forth, the more problems we create.
Let Europe defend Europe. They are not incapable nascent and fragile democracies anymore. Giving Europe its self-determination is the mark of a true ally. Granted, it might mean compromises to their various social welfare states or tax increases because military might is expensive, but it is their decision to make. Surely you don't mean to imply that the world's largest trading block with 500 million people and the highest GDP can't defend itself?
Globalism and neo-liberalism are very real, and they mean us harm. I suggest you read a book called Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time, by Carroll Quigley. It is basically the founding document of globalism, and states we need one world government to stop war. Of course, Americans will have to give up sovereignty, freedom, and naturally won't get to vote any more. Poverty is our future as we must take the wealth in America and divide it evenly across the world. This is not a joke or conspiracy theory, it's taught at our best universities as the only possible way forward.
I am *not* dead wrong. Russia has a terrible position. They're no Soviet Union. They're surrounded, where are they going to go? The US won't allow anything to happen to its captive vassal states in Europe. China is on the other border, and worthless central Asia in between. There are NATO bases in Kyrgzstan, for fuck's sake.
If you just look at wikipedia, yeah, the Russian army looks numerous and well equipped but the truth is that it is divided between a state of the art and well trained spearhead that amounts to about 100~200k soldiers and conscripts with outdated hardware that suffered for almost two decades of poor maintenance. The combined spend of the top 3 EU military budgets is double Russia alone and is greater than China. The technology is also far superior.
You're not going anywhere and don't even try it. The US Army will crush you traitors like a bug. Fortunately, you're all pussies who are afraid of guns, so I think you missed a step in your cunning plan of betrayal.
It's more people are using Putin as the foreign boogeyman. Russia really isn't that threatening. They are in demographic collapse, their economy is the size of Italy and shrinking, they have a huge border they can't defend, and they are surrounded on all sides by hostile bases. But we're undergoing a second Red Scare. People are seeing Russians under the bed. A sense of proportion is called for.
It is the responsibility of governments to protect their own people from that China/India crap. That and stop shitting in the mouths of the working class. Deliberately attempting to destroy millions of your own people with neo-liberalism is wrong.
Translation: we won't be able to pull the kind of fraud we're accustomed to doing, because the algorithms will be programmed to actually follow the law. Humans can be bribed and leaned on, and that's what they depend on. Play fair? Not in this lifetime.
This is one of the main reasons US immigration policies are so destructive. They act as an attractive nuisance, destroying other countries' intellectual capital so that America, already rich, can get richer. That's it. These talented people are badly needed by their own countries, and they get sucked away because wealthy America can pay them better because it's wealthy. The rich get richer, the poor get fucked, as usual.
If those that demand no Voter Identification were concerned for the poor, they'd facilitate the acquisition of ID, not seek ways to avoid it. After all, what's the best job you ever had where you didn't need to identify yourself?
If we only had NGOs to drive people to the DMV and pay the twenty bucks for them. If only...
Only ONE party disapproves of measures to make our elections secure. Voter ID is NOT some racist bullshit, EVERY COUNTRY THAT'S not a dictatorship has some form of assuring that the person voting is entitled to. EVERY COUNTRY.
The United States of America cannot tolerate a rival empire on the North American continent. At one time we had a big problem with Canada and Mexico existing. Now we have open talk of treason, from the very people who constantly accuse others of treason. I repeat my threat: try anything and 10,000 years from now, people will still talk about what we did to you traitorous scumbags.
Because every country on the planet teaches about itself and doesn't seek to run down its own accomplishments. Well, until America 1995 or so, we do that here now.

The recent election was the tipping point, when the mask came off and the mainstream media became a partisan force, one dedicated to the cause of electing Hillary Clinton, who we now have hard proof in the form of a confession from her campaign manager, that she was utterly corrupt. The New York Times, after its completely biased coverage, said that "We believe we reported on both candidates fairly during the presidential campaign", a statement breathtaking in its nearsightedness. Here's a leaked email showing how the Dems colluded with the press. Glenn Thrush of Politico was exposed seeking Podesta's approval of articles about Clinton. Even Thrush wrote "please don't tell anyone" and "I'm such a hack". The consequences for Thrush? He was hired by the New York Times after the election. How can you have any sympathy with these organizations that threaten people into silence with threats of doxxing? It's like the mafia. So let's drop the "both sides do it" thing because the power levels are not even remotely the same.
LOL u joking bro? They shut down the speech of people they disagree with with violence. Antifa are not Anti Fascists. If they were...they would attack Hillary, Bush and Sorosï. Wow, I haven't seen corporate criminals defended like that before. Good job, and the payment should arrive in your Paypal soon.

You should really check out the current real strengths of the European armies and Russia. The European Union is already strong enough to defend against Russia, an opponent not even close to being as rich, less populated, in a bad geostrategical position, with a budget stretched extremely thin and terrible availability rates.
If you just look at wikipedia, yeah, the Russian army looks numerous and well equipped but the truth is that it is divided between a state of the art and well trained spearhead that amounts to about 100~200k soldiers and conscripts with outdated hardware that suffered for almost two decades of poor maintenance.
