Teach a man how to opt out of X10 ads and he'll be happy for the rest of the month. Teach a man how to use Mozilla and he'll be happy for the rest of his life.
In case you want to shout at them about how you'll not buy any more of their products. Maybe if McAfee understands how stupid this is, they'll change their minds (hahaha, right).
You're a moron. Ships that dock in Cuba aren't allowed to dock in the States for six months afterwards. What country do you think companies are going to choose, especially if they're travelling across the Atlantic? The reason Canada can trade with Cuba is because they don't give a shit about America's stupid outdated policies of 'fighting communism.' Cuba's in a pretty difficult state right now; medicine and basic supplies are hard to get. Make no mistake though, the people know why, and they don't blame Castro. I can't think of another government in the world that gives you a cake on your birthday. When was the last time your government cared about your birthday, except when you come of age and can become a TAXPAYER.
I guess FSF (Free Software Foundation), ffmpeg authors, would eagerly sue them to fucking hell! Such an action against humanity can't go unpunished! They will die a dog's death for sure I swear! Lay back, we'll teach them that stealing from OpenSource is a BAD thing, and stealing from MPlayer is even WORSE!
Take it easy, guys. Nobody needs to die a dog's death here. It'll all work out. Relax, smell the flowers. It's just software. Hey, what are you doing with that axe? aaaaaaaaggg
As for do I agree with what US did? No, I do not think shutting off telecom access is in the best interest of US and there is a better solution but US is perfectly within their right to do so here.
The problem is, it doesn't matter what *you* think. You don't have a say in the matter anyway. What if you, like most people here it seems like, didn't think that this was the best idea? How is the government acting on your best interest then?
You're using two different meanings of the word
harboring. The terrorists lived in the US for
four years, without US knowledge.
Ahh, I get it now. It's all becoming clear.
NEWS FLASH
Osama bin Laden WAS TRAINED AND SUPPLIED BY THE U.S. Figure that one out, genius.
It's one thing to have a murderer hiding without your knowledge in your basement. It's quite another thing to hide the murderer in your basement with intent.
You're right. And it's quite another thing entirely to call him a 'useful ally' when he's your puppet, and a 'murderer' when you stop supporting him and he turns on you. He's doing THE SAME THING he did when he was an American ally.
I'm not confused about the meaning of the word 'harbouring.' The only confusion here is you trying to harmonize your image of the government with dissenting facts you hear on the news.
After this they just need to buy up bleem and release it so I can play my old PS games on the machine.
What would be the legality of this? Any NALs want to comment? I know Bleem was found legal, but would it be different because of the direct competition between consoles? It certainly would be cool to play PSX games on Xbox. A PS(Linu)X-Box would be neat.
that ever happened to the US Government. Now they can do all the stuff they've wanted to do for years, under the guise of National Security, and Fighting Terrorism. How long do you think it'll be before they're back in Iraq going after Saddam?
Uh huh. If they have the power to shut it down for being suspected of terrorist links, why don't they just install Carnivore, to MONITOR the terrorists? It could be very useful- I'm sure Somalia doesn't have the same traffic that say, AOL in Miami does. This is bullshit.
The US also provides worldwide GPS access, which they can take away at any time. That doesn't make it right. God forbid you're trying to do a job in any region even remotely close to terrorism. Basically what US foreign policy is saying is:
Don't be a terrorist
Don't harbour terrorists
Don't live in a country that harbours terrorists
Don't live NEAR a country that harbours terrorists
Don't try and contact anybody who lives in a country that harbours terrorists
This is getting silly. The US harboured terrorists for 4 years before said terrorists blew up the WTC. What now, tanks in the streets?
The US state dept.,( as reported by CNN), has now admited that they bombed the Red Cross center in Afghanistan, multiple times...
They killed four American Red Cross workers in the first couple of days of bombing. I haven't seen that mentioned on any major network though. Granted, I don't watch a lot of TV.
At the same time, of course, the US was randomly dropping food supplies all over the place...
Including into known minefields. "Here's some food, just watch your step! You can thank us later... if you have any limbs left." It doesn't seem to matter much though, as long as CNN spins it right.
I think it's better to support one candidate in the open source OS world and not several.
Why should that be limited? Who gives a fuck if Linux (BSD/Amiga/AtheOS/...) doesn't have 100% market share? Or 10%? Or losing users left and right to each other? Once they're GPL'd (or BSD'd/Artistic Licensed/...), they can never die. What benefit is there to having only one open source OS, other than having all the best developers? If you didn't like it, you'd be stuck with Windows anyway. Choice is good. I tend to doubt most sane people are going to try AtheOS, not like it, and say "oh, well, that was an open-source OS, boy did it suck, guess I'm going back to Windows." Chances are they'll like parts of it, dislike others, and get curious about what else is available.
The problem with your little political analogy is that there's no one winner in the OS "wars." We're not looking to decide the fate of the nation. There's plenty of room for many different systems.
Besides, the rest of the world laughs at the American political process, which has no representation for half your population. 51% of 50%- excellent way to choose your government for four years.
Teach a man how to opt out of X10 ads and he'll be happy for the rest of the month. Teach a man how to use Mozilla and he'll be happy for the rest of his life.
What, did you miss the (intelligent anyway) part?
Well then you should be happy MSFT went down. That's like *making* money!
Interesting though, IBM is down two bucks.
There is only one objective response to that question.
DVD Audio. Kinda limited selection so far though.
Or even encourage them to join gangs, where they will be safe.
In case you want to shout at them about how you'll not buy any more of their products. Maybe if McAfee understands how stupid this is, they'll change their minds (hahaha, right).

Sure, except they're not making the hardware, it's contracted out.
Pets? I didn't think he was THAT old. I mean, he looks that old, but...

I like how the download is an RPM. That'll make Bill G happy. Besides, without him we couldn't have things like RPMs anyway.

Maybe the salamanders were hiding in caves in Afghanistan when the asteroids hit. Those suckers are pretty safe.
Just a little one here. He loves Shrek. :)
Todd McFarlane of Spawn fame is doing the second series too. Check 'em out here. Pretty wicked detailing, as per usual.
No. I don't see your point at all.
