I think everyone misunderstands the story. Win10's malware and spyware is the most secure ever -- from the end-user trying to disable or bypass it. MS has made themselves extremely clear, through their actions, that they don't give a rats' ass about the end user, other than the revenue they can squeeze from them. Therefore MS makes a priority of ensuring their revenue stream is secure, not anything the silly sheep users ever do.
Okay.. apologies for the knee-jerk response, but you have to understand how things are on the Internet, especially THIS week..
I know exactly how much there is about my Real Identity in public records, and know there's not a gods-be-damned thing I can do about that.. but at the same time I'm never going to be one of those people who just throw up their hands and say "Nothing I can do about it! May as well give up!" -- which is what most people seem to do. That way lie dragons. You can claim Failbook 'knows' things about my Real Identity, but unless you can produce that information, I'll remain skeptical, and if utility companies and any bank I do business with is selling or even giving my information to 3rd parties without my express permission, then they're in big, big trouble.
Are you just seriously mocking me now? Or are you just being funny? I thought we were having an actual conversation here, if you're just mocking me like a typical troll would now then the conversation is over and you can just buzz off.
Ah, yes. I always forget that since I don't use my real name online anywhere I can manage to do so, and I'll avoid things that I have to log into as much as I can.
I'll be blunt, there's a whole section of the GOP that now expects it will be able to ban transexuals from their gender-identified washrooms, will be able to throw the local town homosexuals out of their businesses, and that abortions will now be heavily restricted, if not outright banned
If they try to roll back the clock to the 1940's and 1950's socially, they'll weaken the entire country. Have you seen the twitter posts from actual islamic extremists? They're happy to see Trump elected, because they think it'll mean an uprising of American muslims when Trump starts taking away their rights, deporting them, and refusing to allow muslim refugees into the country. They're not wrong.
That's kind of what I'm getting at. You'll note the last two elections the GOP couldn't produce a candidate that was anywhere near popular enough for anyone to get behind, therefore we got Obama, so it makes sense to me that while they've all had to hold their noses and accept Trump, they'll do everything they can to control him, or at least keep him from shooting the entire country in the foot. Meanwhile they work for the next 4 years to come up with a real candidate. Unfortunately for them they'll have to re-invent themselves to be more current with the times, because this isn't 1950 anymore, and they're completely out-of-touch.
Thanks, I needed to laugh out loud, and that did it.:-) Maybe I'll get a T-shirt made with the most unflattering pic of Trump on it, captioned with 'All Hail President Pussy Grabber!'. xD
Considering that both Senate and House are also Republican controlled, I'm holding out hope that their game-plan with regards to Trump is to keep him on a short leash so he doesn't completely ruin everything he touches, and that's why so many of them have been holding their noses and keeping their mouths shut this whole time. As we've seen, however, some of the more noteworthy Republicans just couldn't stand the stench long enough and finally just said how they really felt. I do not envy any Republican politicians right now, seeing what they'll have to put up with for the next 4 years.
Yeah, I imagine the threat of him bankrupting the country, like he has his own companies, and sending it into another recession, is more real than I'm comfortable with, but that's just one of a whole constellation of things he's likely to completely screw up.
Nope, I'm not hiding behind (or under, LOL, he didn't even get that right) any rocks, I'm out here right in the open, and I'm not saying here, or anywhere else, anything that, according to the voting results from yesterday, at least half of U.S. citizens aren't also saying about Trump. As usual the Internet is full of people with mouths at least as loud and uncontrolled as Donald Trumps' is. They somehow think that they can insult me here and silence me (and everyone else), which is about as far from reality as you can get.
I'll give Trump a week, ten days at most, before he does something actionable. 48 hours, tops, before he says something actionable, while his Press Secretary visibly being restrained by Secret Service agents, as he tries to physically stop Trump from opening his fat, loud mouth. Make no mistake: I did not vote for Clinton, either; wouldn't have mattered how I voted, Clinton won my State anyway. But I didn't want that loudmouthed son-of-a-bitch to win, either.
Face it: Most people buying smartphones are about as technologically literate as your average politician, appointed official, or law enforcement officer. Why else do you think it is that they blink so much and have that confused look on their faces when you try to explain to them they're carrying around surveillance devices masquerading as a telephone? All they care about is playing their Candy Crush games and compulsively checking and posting on Facebook.
Oh, I see, so you're OK with the lazy idiots being the majority of the country, instead of a minority, and you, not being a lazy idiot yourself who will still work because you don't want to live at the poverty line, will be taxed into oblivion so that fat, lazy, uneducated, unmotivated, purposeless wastes of oxygen can lie around all day long, stuff their faces, get drunk, have sex to make more useless do-nothing people, and generally be a drain on everyone and everything around them? Because that's how this so-called UBI will end up working. What we need is a DIS-incentive to be ignorant and lazy.
That's what this so-called 'UBI' would create. Hello 'Idiocracy', goodbye 'American know-how and innovation' -- and, guaranteed, those of us who can and do work, will end up paying taxes so high that we can't afford to live anymore, to pay for it all. You want a Civil War? Go ahead and institute UBI.
Oh, hey, what a great idea, and absolutely no way this could be used to spy on anyone, no-siree-Bob, can't image anyone at three-letter agencies getting CC'd on the datastream, nope, never happen!
I am actually well aware of this fact, as are, sadly, few others. People not in the know are either confused, disbelieving, or shocked when I tell them. I wonder, has anyone ever seen the 'terms of service' or the privacy agreement for any 'rewards' card?
Want to start a betting pool as to how long it'll be before they roll out a forced 'update' that turns Windows 10 into it's own ransomware, too? Imagine this: Clippy's protection racket
Delete that fucking malware from your computer and install some other operating system.
Yeah no kidding. What the hell is this crap, anyway? 'Rewards' program? What the hell? Is this a supermarket chain now?
Personally, I've never experienced a similar ad, though I use Edge as well as Bing Rewards, meaning there's no need for such an ad to appear.
Mark Hachman (more like HACKman if you ask me), stop being a Microsoft shill, you're embarassing yourself. No ostensible computer operating system should be popping up unwanted ads for anything, even if it's for parts of itself. It's just utterly absurd. Microsoft and Windows 10 has become a very, very bad joke, and I don't even want to say what I'm starting to think about the people who honestly think it's 'good' in any way, shape, or form.
Speaking as someone who at one time had an MCSE, that's an understatement. I'd rather wrestle with any version of Linux now than put up with something that is literally spyware, and in some ways keeps trying to blackmail me.
It's not like criminal organizations are technologically incompetent these days. They'll just get someone to hack the drone's firmware to disable geoblocking -- or just build their own drones.

Ah, somebody doesn't know about AdBlocker, NoScript, and other tools to delete tracking cookies and anonymize your web access. Do try to keep up, k?

President Pussy Grabber

Or DELETE anything they want. Or INSTALL anything they want, and run it. Basically: Botnet. Corporate Botnet.

It's really the tone of what was stated that's the problem. Easy to imagine it being in a slightly mocking tone.
Want to start a betting pool as to how long it'll be before they roll out a forced 'update' that turns Windows 10 into it's own ransomware, too? Imagine this: Clippy's protection racket
This pic illustrates very clearly and concisely the general character (or lack thereof) and attitude of the Windows 10 'customer base' of which you speak. Need I say more?
Delete that fucking malware from your computer and install some other operating system.

They have burned a lot of bridges with win 10

Personally I'd rather not take any chances about who is and is not telling the truth about what they're doing and just keep my own passwords.
