And do they plan to continue confusing ebay users into sticking with Internet Explorer and leaving them more at risk than users without the false sense of security offered by the Ebay toolbar?
it's widely accepted that the full spec for MS word's doc format is on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard".
You must remember that Ubuntu is largely developed by people in the employ of Canonical Ltd., a for profit company both founded and funded by Mark Shuttleworth. Not that there's anything wrong with this, it's just that an awful lot of people seem to have had this romantic view of Ubuntu as the little guys and, while this was certainly the case initialy, they have always had an awful lot of resources available to them, by employing the right developers it was just a matter of time before they made a solidly desktop friendly debian derivitive.
This doesn't mean i dislike Ubuntu, i have been using the distro as my primary OS for a while now and while hoary was a more than a little rough around the edges I have been reasonably impressed by 5.10 and look forward to trying the next release, although hardly predictably at this point, at least it means they've realised that rushing a broken OS isn't a clever idea, maybe they've picked up some tips from vista's scheduling.
Not that this really has much bearing on the assignment of an individual/. topic for ubuntu/canonical but i certainly think it does Debian a disservice to have their new items swamped by increasingly unrelated Ubuntu goings on.
But does it integrate with Firefox and Thunderbird, it's a serious question, i haven't tried clamAV in a while. AVG's personal email scanner solution sits between any mail client(using standard protocols) and the mail servers and performs transparent scanning of messages sent and received, and a very good job it does too.
ClamAV, well the win32 ports, does look like a promising prjoect and i look forward to seeing a more feature complete version, until then i'm afraid i'll continue to recommend AVG free to non-technical windows users and i might even give the free desktop-linux AVG scanner a quick test at some point.
it's not just a case of firefox not rendering the scrollbar in such a stupid way, it's most browsers which aren't IE. IE only sites are often the result of laziness or a lack of web design capability and use of frontpage (those last 2 are pretty much 1 point), phpBB2 boards with black on black scrollbars are a protest against users who continue to allow these idiot site 'designers' to get away with their awful code.
Creative commons allows you to stipulate how you wish your licensed works to be used, if you want to let people know that they're allowed to use all your stuff for non-commercial purposes, for free, you can do that quickly and easily by attaching a CC license. The automatic protection under copyright law doesn't give you any such benefit.
Hardware support in linux is, in some ways, better than that available on windows, your average linux distro just works out of the box, a fresh installation of Windows XP, on the other hand, needs drivers for my NIC and onboard sound card, which is ok if you have the driver disks around but can be tricky if upgrading or reinstalling the OS on a PC that you didn't build yourself(no motherboard driver disc) or have lost the driver discs for. While that doesn't necessarily mean that linux hardware support is great, it may suggest that installation could be less troublesome for novice users.
Another thought is that, while scanner makers don't tend to produce linux drivers themselves, the SANE project allows scanners that are no longer supported under windows XP, to continue their useful lives. I just wish that the likes of HP, who sell computers with linux installed, would put some serious effort into supporting their peripherals under linux.
Now, you probably already know about this, but it's still worth a mention, if you want to continue with your gaming but forgo the discomfort of using windows, you can try using the freely available transgaming CVS, or purchase a subscription for cedega and point2play for a much easier option, especially for commercial copyprotected games.
Support for CD-rs and the ISO 9660 format may be around for many many years, but that doesn't make your average CD-R a stable medium for long term data archiving. I'll be very disappointed if JPEG hasn't become entirely obsolete in 20yrs time, and at that point reading the files may become tricky.
As for long lasting digital cameras, on average, what kind of rate of pixel death would you expect with the average digicam sensor over 20years? With a digital camera you don't get the option of routinely replacing the recording medium.
I honestly can't for the life of me think what the woman could possibly need an iPod for, does she need 20+GB worth of oldies that she can listen to on the move?
the other thing i can't work out is, how does something this ridiculous, apparantly reported by the sun, count as/. worthy news, it's nearly as bad as that "Linux is for Losers" crap!
It could be that a lot of these links, the ones that appear dead, do so only because the spoofing vulnerability in use doesn't work in the browser you're using.
Imagine if the UK government stopped wasting vast amounts of money licensing windows for their end users and switched to something a little less bug ridden.
Those are great if you have room for them, if you're after large plants then a. paenifolius won't disappoint, it can produce a petiole in excess of 2.5m tall.
almost, but not quite. It's an inflorescence, of which the Spadix is a part. As for forming fruit, only each female flower can do so, with one seed per fruit.

Then you need to download ParsnipFox too, an extensions which does just that.

i should add that it doesn't make it right to do this to the unsuspecting IE users.

erm, oops, indeed it is, i'm not sure why i assumed it was PHP.
Where does it categorically state that Movable Type isn't affected?
I'm just surprised that terrorists haven't held passenger flights to ransom with bombs fashioned from their in-flight beverage and an iPod.
You can use java and not produce your gui with it though.

ah, ok then
have you tried just opening that XML file with VLC? or pointing mplayer at the url you get from inside the XML(asx) file?
Indeed that is a very special flower, the largest in the world and a parasite too. Is it something that we can only see growing wild though?

Well, if you want something with a similarly hellish scent and appearance but of a slightly smaller stature, maybe you should try one of these
It's simpler than that, this is a nerd thing, plant nerds rather than computer nerds, but still.
It's hard to believe that anyone could fail to compare favourably to the flowers, do you mean the inflorescence as a whole?
