Quit being a jerk Don't complain about the existance of articles and news. Complain about the content. Point out specific things wrong.
This is Slashdot, and if you had care to read, it says news for nerds. Anime is generally considered a nerdly thing. I honestly don't see people complaining about Farscape news or SG1 news.
You complain about the style in which anime is drawn, but do you have nearly as much rage for Picasso and his cubism period? I doubt it.
The point is, don't complain about the news variety. Nobody is forcing anime down your throat. Nobody forced you to read the article.
It is also evidently clear that you didn't read the article because the article covers anime vs live-action movies in japan. Thoughts on why certain things are the way they are.
The article however did not cover the aformentioned, cult-like semi aposotlic tripe you believe it might contain.
Now i'm far from techie
Computer savvy, but not techie in Slashdot terms.
I am probably younger then most of you. I just started University at Waterloo. If anyone has it bad, it's the students. 1st year co-op, little or no working experience, seeking gainful employment. HA HA HA, i even have to laugh at my self.
You see, i wish i were laid off, why? because that would mean i would have to have a job in the first place!
Laid off, IF I WERE LUCKY!
when i say elite i mean few and not nesscarly the good. this is because the average user will probably go nuts trying to learn linux.
I love doing graphics on my computer, but if adobe is not supported on linux, why the heck would i use linux.
there are 2 main classes of computer users out there.
one is a person who is a 'ardcore coder, and likes his 'freedom' and ability to do anything at anytime. we shall call them the linux zealot
the other is a causal computer user. doesn't know anything about coding nor care to know. He or she just wants their computer to boot when turned on, type the occasional email and listen to music. we shall call them the average user
now this is choice of course. if the average user thnks linux is great, then they will choose linux. but since microsoft does what ever they want it to in a simple easy to use fashion, they will use microsoft.
you can't just trash talk microsoft and have nothing to back it up. In fact i'm issuing a challenge to any and all coders out there. i don't care how many of you you get together with. but i challenge you to create a word processor better than word.
It looks like the fizzer worm
just fizzled out
ha ha ha ha
(i'm so lame)
A raging case of herpes
