Your assumption that it's either binary or not is a binary assumption.

In an analog world, it can vary between "binary" and "not binary", so it could be "almost completely binary", "almost completely analog", or anywhere in between.

Analogously (ahem), There are two kinds of people in the world-- people that divide people into two kinds (binary people), and people who don't (analog).

Well, if the displacement of a greek/trojan ship is compared to modern vessels, then is Laura Bush (or Jackie Onassis before her) a kilo- or a mega-Helen? Dosn't say much for the original Helen... ;^) Pulchritude, as a science, leaves something to be desired.

Voting with your feet (or wallet) won't work. If everyone stopped buying, then yes, it would. But most people don't want to do without the product, they just want the onerous restrictions lifted. This is an area where government needs to act to protect the rights of consumers who actually vote.

Unfortunately, our government currently also knows that CASH BUYS VOTES. They need money to run campaigns, and corporations provide that money. So although corporations CAN'T VOTE, they control representatives who do.

What we need is consumer unions with actual voters who will vote as a block against representatives who sell out to the corporations. Or better yet, election reform.

Quite apart from interacting with nav systems, cell phones apparently can interact with other systems too. I was talking on a cell phone once in the cabin while the plane was still boarding. After I finished my conversation, another passenger informed me that my entire conversation (both sides) was simultaneously carried over the plane's loudspeaker system (though apparently at the usual low volume. I did not notice it during the call, but several other passengers confirmed hearing it. Anybody else ever have a similar experience? It seemed really unlikely, but technically possible at the time.
