However, I would put the Xbox ahead of the PS2 in many categories.
The PS3 vs. Xbox 360 is an entirely different ball game. They're both extremely powerful machines and I think much of the edge will be gained by their games.
At the risk of turning this into a geek's version of penile-measuring, here's mine:
* 20GB ipod (3G). Currently working through the entire LOTR audiobook set.
* Griffin iTrip radio adapter... great, unless you live in Boston where there are NO unused radio frequencies.
* Sony lightweight clip-over earphones. I need bigger ear canals or something.. Can't handle earbuds. Good sound, but did they really need to make the wire between left and right sides 2' long?
* Nokia 3650 w/ bluetooth earpiece. This phone also doubles as my PDA, synced via bluetooth to either Outlook or Evolution through gnome-bluetooth. Camera is decent for close-up shots, but colors always seem too saturated.
* Dell Latitude C840. One heavy mofo of a laptop, but my eyes are grateful for the huge screen. Trumobile (802.11g) inside as well, running fc1.
However when I do this, the drivers number the displays 1,0 instead of what I'd like 0,1. So I'm left using SVGA/DVI to get 0,1.
Uhh.. maybe this is a dumb question, but did you try picking up your monitors and switching them?
Just a thought:)
Looking at SCOForum 2003, I am curious as to why HP is the premier sponsor of this year's "hard-hitting" SCO forum. (Does that include a Darl bitchslapping? oooh..)
Personally, I would have expected better from HP. But in all fairness, they probably agreed to this longer before all the silliness.
"Innovation is what drives the software industry," says David Stutz, a Microsoft group program manager. "We would be foolish not to invest in the place that a lot of this innovation comes from, which is the academic sphere."
Didn't MS say just a few months ago that the private sector is what drives innovation? This seems to be a "slight modification" to their earlier statement.
anyone have more info on this?
I seem to remember an announcement about Cisco switching all of their workstations to linux. Try searching slashdot... i think that's where i heard it.
Google, iPod, I definitely agree with you.

It's called "ocean." MOst people wouldn't recognize it, if not masked by smog, chemical waste, and thousands of rotting fish :P

Certainly a persuasive argument, i would think.
