It's called an API, and it's what makes a specific chunk of code work in a specific operating system. You can compile C in windows, but without some type of interpreter like Cygwin, good luck compiling bash and getting it to work.
Why am I suddenly remembering an old episode of Star Trek: TNG? Didn't they have a game like that, where the disks went into the little hole thing when the person relaxed and let it, but really the game was a mind control device?
Thank God, maybe people will figure out that gaudy multicoloured textured backgrounds and fusia text just doesn't cut it ^-^ I've seen my share of commercial sites that had useful stuff, but the page so so bad that no one knew it was useful at all
I wonder if the book will talk about names too... I mean "Site du jour of the day" just wasn't thought out too well.... sorry, I don't have the link to that page anymore or I'd post it!
I could be wrong, but I think that's how they did the 3 Lord of the Rings movies. It's a great idea, makes sure they fit in properly and lessens the gaping holes in the plot. Despite filming them all, however.... we still have to wait aeons between the movies *sob*
By the time the second Matrix comes out, I'll have forgotten the point of the first one!
