Personally, I do not agree with this philosophy, and feel that a man with a gun saying "get off my land" is an initiator of physical force, and not a defender against it.
Wouldn't that depend on the situation the man was in? (e.g. A robber is on his property trying to steal something, or someone mistakenly wanders onto his property?)
Seriously though, there is a very very large selection of games for the PSX2 out right now. They're called PSX1 games, which *most* people will say are plentiful in quality and number. I myself have more faith in Sony to be able to keep this new console a winner and keep games coming for it than I do Sega (whose last few consoles flopped..need I name them?). Sure DC does have some very good games right now, but in the not-too-distant future so will PSX2. Then again to keep the PSX2 alive right now will require fan loyalty...something which isn't in high supply apparently.

That's the most wrong statement I've read all day. Seriously, if you think FreeBSD is anything like those three Linux distribs then you are very very misguided. Try it for yourself and find out.
I hate to defend a Microsoft Product here, but where I work we have 2500+ users with email accounts. Our mail server is running Exchange ( Exchange 2000), and it hasn't given us ANY problems. Except when someone runs some bad CDO code...but that's not Exchanges fault entirely (partly yes, but entirely no). Our entire site is Microsoft Products though (an MCSP runs things around here).
On the other hand, requiring Outlook on the desktops is ridiculous. I can't see any reason for that...unless some people just *like* proprietary MS text formatting and whatnot.
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can't seem to find a place to order one of these things on their site. They don't mention any place that sells them either, or price ranges for that matter. Can you help me out or is that site just a big tease?
This Anti-Microsoft thing is getting a little childish now. It has it's bad points, but that doesn't mean *EVERYTHING* about it is bad, and that's exactly why most (not all) people are downing KBasic. If KBasic has anything close to as easy to use and powerful of an IDE as VB does (and FREE too!) this will really really help Linux get moreso out onto the mainstream. The people that don't want something like this to come out obviously don't ever want Linux suitable for the mainstream.
Certifications may be useless to people with experience, but not to a young person trying to get a head-start in the field. I'm 17 and just got my CCNA, and without it there would be no way for me to get experience (where I live) on anything dealing with a network (unless you count at home). Everyone seems to get upset about certifications because they have experience and they see people who get certifications who have no experience and are getting paid more than them (it does happen doesn't it?). Why not just get a certification yourself if you have the know-how?
If they did that then they'd lose most of their user base, I'd bet. Many (if not most) of napsters users are teenagers in HS or college...given many college students have credit cards....most HS students do not (some do of course).
Maybe it was one of those new cars where the lights go on and off automatically? =)
Doesn't this set precedent though? Or are you saying that precedent is only set in appeals courts or higher?
No, you're looking to see if the door(port) is open or not.
Well, no. That was a Federal Court that made that ruling, it is just housed in Georgia. U.S. District Courts are federal.
This just isn't funny anymore, and it's probably been used more times than the beowulf cluster joke!

You don't have to be that tech savvy to use Napster...my mom uses it for crying out loud! =)
"This is a very dangerous new trend in the security industry."
His point is that if this continues it could be very serious.

That would be whores. Not hoars.

And who says you can't /. more than one site at a time!

Unfortunately it *ONLY* supports those operating systems, not unfortunately it supports them.

Umm...no. That was the case with Windows 95 but ever since then MS hasn't made that mistake (not with an OS at least).
If they did that then they'd lose most of their user base, I'd bet. Many (if not most) of napsters users are teenagers in HS or college...given many college students have credit cards....most HS students do not (some do of course).
Actually it's 2.4 megabits/s...which is more like 300kbps.
Obviously. If it's true that is.
