It wouldn't surprise me if 4.4 gets released soon with a new batch of improvements. 4.3 will then get put into maintenance mode and 4.4 because "unstable". I normally don't deploy the current branch in production for several releases as they fix the issues.
Project development is far from a standstill. I don't need any more flashly features. I hope they continue to focus on stability and performance issues.
I dropped my Galaxy S5 out of my hand when walking and it completely smashed the glass. I am shocked how fragile the new phone was compared to my older Nexus S. I am on the hook for a $250+ bill to get it repaired.
I have no clue how you can engineer a mobile phone which can't withstand a drop from that distance. I will never buy another Samsung product again.
When I read the artlicle the biggest change I see there is how they use fear to increase interaction. Students are expected to write their answers to questions which everyone can see. Students can also be called on to expand on their thoughts. There is no hiding in this type of setup.
I believe the biggest things that linux is lacking is the amount of skilled people. One of the main reasons why MS is popular is that you can find someone to fix your network / computer anywhere. Now I know everyone is thinking that an MCSE could't fix anything, but they are around, and in most cases can get things going.
In general I think companies are leery about installing Linux, because of the lack of capable people.
We need the certifications there so people can obtain them. A certification says that I know so much. It gives a company some sense of security--even though it may be a false sense of security, in some cases.
There is no paper based exam in the world that will weed out the unwarranted people. The only successul way to do this are like CCIE, and RHCE, where they have lab based exams. That is fact, why dispute it.
I wish the best of luck to all those pursuing the LPI certs. I will be one of them. We should encourage as many people as possible to get them. It will help the Linux community.
4.3 brought major changes in the vt-x code for stability and performance improvements.
You should look at the change log and source code commits.
