Hi, I don't really have a comment on this Dvorak and QWERTY keyboard issue, bing a lowly peon, only being exposed to the QWERTY keyboard, but I had to say something about the comment made about the metric system not being adopted worldwide. The metric system has been adopted worldwide, and in almost every country. I'm not sure how many countries are still using the archaic imperial system (last time I looked the answer up was a few years ago, and it was only 2 countries) So the metric system has been accepted all over. It's really only the U.S. that keeps it alive and kicking, contrary to the rest of the world.
