  1. Re:And put the progress bar where? on GIMP 2.2 Splash Screen Competition · · Score: 1

Yes gimp already as a progress bar. Once this progress bar reaches the end, the program isn't started, instead the scrollbar starts over. When it gets to the end again it starts over. It repeats quite a few times. This progress bar doesn't exactly show progress just shows that something is going on.

Yeah smaller would be nice, but it was a smaller consern than ogg support, fm broadcasting, price, and fm radio. All of these features the neuros smokes the ipod.

I own two at home, and many at work. We have no dead pixels. LCD's with dead pixels as far as I'm concerned are junk and I do notice dead pixels as they are quite distracting. The first lcd I've ever bought had a dead pixel and I brought it right back to the store. I don't refrain from buying an lcd for fear of a dead pixel I mearly check all warranties and refuse to buy ones that I don't feel offer a proper warranty. Sometimes there is a store warranty you can buy that covers a dead pixel, this would get factored into the price when choosing such an lcd.

My neuros does fine with playback of ogg. I don't care what excuse apple has for not supporting it.

I won't buy anything lcd unless it comes with a warranty for 0 dead pixels, for most laptops and lcd's it means factoring in the extended warranty as part of the cost. Only 0 dead pixels is acceptible.

I'm sorry any video card at $400 is not a great deal. That's starting to be 1/3 the price of a computer. Why when every other part of a computer has gotten cheaper over the years do video cards get more expensive? I've heard it's because they have more transistors and stuff on them, but that is tru for cpu's too, I think ever since the lack of competition in the market prices have only gone up. There used to be alot more players in the game. (3dfx, nvidia, mga, s3, ati etc. . .)
