I worked (interned, actually) for a very large DVD player producer, under the software division.
Among the other interesting things I learned while there was that such decisions are often made out in the open by project managers and higher level group leaders.
It also seemed that the suits were privy to the info, but the word was mum on it between the number crunchers and the code spitters.
Obviously the regionless aspect of a DVD player is a lucrative enough feature that even the large companies choose to ignore it.
OK, since the army of wild ants or whatever won't post news of the PowerPC FAQ, I'll do it here, which seems the most appropriate place to do it.
Visit LinuxPPC.org to take a gander at the latest revision of the PowerPC FAQ.
It's my personal project, and I'm (slowly) trying to make it more accurate and timely (as it was previously maintained by someone else who quit).
Since the industry seems to be interested in having a second affair with the IBM's pseudo-RISC architecture, I hope the FAQ will serve as a good intoduction to the world of PowerPC.
Does anyone know at what rate the technology NASA / whoever uses to seek moons and extraterrestrial objects advances at?
:) Astronomy isn't my thing but it's interesting :)
The likelihood of there being other moons around Juipiter, or any other gaseous planet for the matter, is pretty good as far as I've read and know...
So it'd be a matter of time before we discover them, and the rate of technological advance in this situation might...
Well, just a little curious

Of course, with so much $$$$ to gain, they would.
I don't know all that their is to know about updating the out-of-date stuff. Try visiting the old one at Mot's site.
I see you understand the terms "community" and "in development".
Ass.
Egh. Sorry about the busted link.

Comments on it to davenport@access-k12.org.
Thanks :)
Look at PCs. They dominate, and they're not the best way of doing things...
SNAFU!
Then their "fearless leader" resigns.
AmigaOS 3.5 must have been a flop :)
