I dont think the above postings answer your question. Im having the same problem. But only under windows, when the computer is in an unstable state. My understanding is PS/2 mouse&keyboard are both controlled by the keyboard controller, which in turn is also used for generating sound through the PC speaker, because of PCs flawed design. Now some piece of Soft- or Hardware f*cks up and couples the keyboard controllers input to the speaker in some way - I dont know what one could do about it. Except of disconnecting your PC-Speaker. Do you ever need it?

Since its a whole new architecture - for i86 people at least - involved it would be very interesting to see computation on large data, so RAM I/O speed could be tested by this alongside CPU performance. PCI-performance would also be interesting, supposedly theyd have to work around some of Intel patents.
So how do you think slashdot would be paid for if it wasnt for the ads? True, Rob&Hemos should spend a little more time on speeding up adfu, but for that they most definitely need the money they get when the ads are read. Yes, I know - as long as there are people stupid enough not to use junkbuster, you look really smart.
it looks surprising to me that a programmer guy like Carmack - who supposedly is very fast at his keys - cares about those point-and-click thingies that much. I mean RMS doesnt even seem to know what a mouse is:]

This sounds not really likely to me since it would at best double the number of reels necessary, since non-English countries would still need their own copies, be it because subtitles are added or because theyre redoing the whole vocal part in their own language.
Would it be a great enhancement to give JarJar a new voice by the way ? This would be the only case where Id actually think about watching a Germanized movie:)
No, "ein Berliner" refers to a member of a group which calls themselves "Berliner", whereas "Berliner" by itself means someone from Berlin.
So JFK said he was with the Berlin people instead of simply saying he was from Berlin. It's a subtle difference, it's difficult to explaii, but he chose the right words, even though there would be this ambiguity, if you looked at it context-free.

I cant wait for this real competition to Intel.
