"If the project is being managed correctly by the project manager/scrum master..." Scrum master is a person appointed to make sure that the scrum methodology is being correctly executed in the scrum team. Scrum master is not a fucking manager. Please stop turning them into one.
People use Discord as a (voice) chat for gamers nowadays.
Discord already exists, and is free. It is a service meant for gamers first and foremost, but I, along with a lot of my colleagues, use it for a lot of non-gaming conversation, with Discord "rooms" for programming, organizing events, etc..
