  1. Someone forget how to ask this type of question on This Chinese Math Problem Has No Answer. Perhaps, It Has a Lot of Them. (washingtonpost.com) · · Score: 1

Actually I am from India and some time this type of lame, same or good question were asked by seniors, elders or teachers. The question start like this "Suppose you are the principal of the school and If a school had 26 teachers, 10 of which weren't thinking, how old is the principal?" This may be further added by other garbage information so that the child in question forgets that initially supposed to be the principal. So the answer is the "age of the person to whom we are asking the question." The purpose of such questions are how carefully you are listening and deducing the information further. This need not to be headline.

It's not that simple. There is definitely a learning curve to use linux effectively. It's not about to give user a Linux ready system. To make it usable they need training too and if they get used to applications available for linux in windows, the transition will be much more smoother. A normal user is hardly concerned about OS, he just wants to get his job done.

Could be worse, comrade. Your destination needs paved roads, trains with adequate seating inside - not on top - and rivers without dead bodies floating down them.

That's a good deliberate attempt to malign India's image. Images are not untrue. But that percentage is low. We have beautiful cities and sceneries too. Search for Leh ladakh and Kerala in google and see yourself. I will not give any link to mark my words. Try searching "Incredible India" or "Beutiful India". In India- you get what you search+ few more .

  4. Re:500 charges is not enough on Samsung Develops 'Graphene Ball' Battery With 5x Faster Charging Speed (digitaltrends.com) · · Score: 1

I'm charging my S8+ ~1.5 a day. 500 charges means that after just 1 year the battery is at 78% of capacity, What happens after 1.5 years?

Even for those who charge only once a day, 500 charges is ~1.5 years, which is less than the common 2-year lifespan of the phone.

Increasing the battery density probably won't help either, as manufacturers will again make thinner phones instead of increasing capacity.

After a year your battery power remains around 80%. At this rate after 1 year your battery will last for 7.8 hrs if it lasted 10 hrs initially(not bad considering you supercharge it everytime). Next year it will be 6.2 hrs and next year it will be 5 hrs. So after 3 years it will be at 50% of capacity. Not bad for me. Considering it will increasing capacity by 45% at initial stage. So theoretically it will be 75% of capacity after 3 years. And one more thing- charge cycle of li-ion is different than charging every time. https://www.apple.com/uk/batte... My one hope is - this should not go in vain just like other battery techs which remain only in research papers.

  5. @AmiMoJo you are right dear, many people think one charge cycle is equivalent to one day or less. Rather reverse is true in general.
