I'm so fucking sick of hearing the word 'terrorist' used to justify a governments action. This is BS just as half the other laws passed/in the works since 9/11.
You know, the terrorists from those planes drove to the airport. Maybe we should institute manditory police check points on highways and city streets -- just in case.
I purchased a "brand name" PC several years ago... it was my last (pain in the ass to upgrade). Even some the more recent PC's sell slightly modified hardware; e.g., Dell sold many SE440 boards with their P2's that weren't standard ATX, if you wanted to upgrade you had to buy a new case or your were SOL). You may not be able to save much money anymore building your own, but I definitely think it is wisest choice if you know what you're doing. At least buy from a company where you can walk in and talk to people who build them--they (most likely) use standard parts.
When I was in high school we used graphing calcs, but I don't remeber math that we couldn't have done without the calculators. Maybe I was just lucky in the way that the classes were taught, but I don't think any high school math should require and/or allow the use of graphing calcs or PDA's.
Although, in college, that graphing calc became quite handy.
Isn't this what the music and movie industry are already doing?
Yeah, and then a bunch of hackers tried it in the '70s.
