Scientists have managed to extract DNA from dinosaur bones, but only in minute quantities. It doesn't matter that they have DNA from three different speciments if the sequences aren't complete. Unfortuantly the article doesn't seem to mention how much DNA they extracted.
Explosives aren't really necesarry. Think of what powers those big jet engines on modern airliners. Then think about how many tons of it is onboard an average airliner.

How about the fact that Quake III Arena is commonly used as a benchmark to test performance? No, no treachery here... (If they have indeed done it)

I can't really see what practical use this has, but I'm sure it was a nice excersice getting it up and running.
