But in the TV world there are concepts called temporal resolution and spatial resolution. Spatial resolution is indeed just the number of pixels, whereas temporal resolution is the # of pixels * framerate.
I'm sure that they're talking of temporal resolution in this article, and it makes sense to. This is what we really perceive.
This can't be any official sort of press release...nowhere do they measure the size of the transistors by how many it takes to equal the width of a human hair!
I doubt that we'd be giving an "engagement CPU" just because room-temperature diamonds may be SUPERconductors. CPUs are and will in the future be made of SEMIconductors. Big Difference there!
