  1. Re:rebuilding the towers... on Our New Pearl Harbor · · Score: 1

Rebuilding the towers seems like the best solution. Whether or not the country goes to war or retaliates, reconstruction is surely a sign of American strength. I agree with you totally.

  2. Re:Not a middle-class family activity on New Russian Space Station 'Real Possibility' · · Score: 1

Please... no need to flame. Calling me a fool is inappropriate at best, because I didn't ask how it was going to become affordable, I merely said most of us will need to wait until it does become affordable.

  3. Not a middle-class family activity on New Russian Space Station 'Real Possibility' · · Score: 1

This is decidedly not your middle-class family's average day trip. I'm thinking more along the lines of wealthy, old retirees, who feel the need to spend millions on space tourism. Perhaps this would be a better idea after designing cheaper space travel.

  4. Bad news guys, it's Battle.Net we're talking about on Blizzard Announces New Warcraft MMORPG · · Score: 1

Alright, so Blizzard makes some of the best games I've ever played. I'm a rabid fan of Diablo, Diablo 2, D2X, Warcraft 1 and 2, Starcraft, and Brood War. The fact remains: Battle.net sucks. I'd use a more polite word, but none come to mind... While I'll be getting WoW, because the game will more than likely be amazing, we all need to get used to 15-20% packet loss from overcrowded, underpowered B.Net servers. Maybe, just MAYBE, they will upgrade their servers to accomodate all of the users, but I'll have to see it before I believe it.

Very true. The 13 year-olds will probably quiet down a bit... What would be really nice is if a Code of Conduct were to be enforced, so the next person that says "Gay people are stupid." gets banned.

  6. Wow Time Frame on Blizzard Announces New Warcraft MMORPG · · Score: 1

The time frame is 4 years after the end of WC3... that leaves a lot open, seeing as WC3 isn't out yet, of course.

  7. Why must we monitor our government figures? on Big Brother To Watch Judges? · · Score: 1

I mean really folks, what ever happened to ignorance being bliss? Everybody has something they'd like to keep hidden. I have things I want to keep hidden (No, you don't get to know). When we find out that a figure in our government is doing the same thing we're doing, it becomes a scandal. I guess that was a roundabout way of saying this, but I suppose my point is that if we didn't know what our government's employees were doing, for the most, part, it doesn't hurt anybody.

  8. We can only hope this doesn't reach the US on Aussie ISP Scans Downloads For Copyright Violation · · Score: 1

As an American Excite@Home user, I am greatly dismayed to read this. Although this is only in Australia, the company may soon implement the same policies here. Scanning downloads is a clear violation of people's privacy, whether the law says so or not. Excite@Home might as well be using backdoor trojans.
I download games on a fairly regular basis, and I truly only view them for about a day, and if I like them, I buy them. If not, I delete them. Thus far, I've bought roughly 20 games I've downloaded to preview. If I didn't have that chance, I never would have bought them at all. I certainly realize that I'm part of a tiny moral minority. If Excite@Home starts banning people like me, it will probably hurt the game companies. People like me won't buy because we never became interested, and people who downloaded without paying will probably just never buy the game.
