Maybe 2600 can actually talk about something other than "Kevin was given a piece of stale bread in prison today. This is obvious proof that they are triyng to torture him" and talk about something interesting. Off the Hook and the magazine has been saturated with Kevin Kevin Kevin. Now Emmanuel can talk about how he got ripped off in a vending machine and think it's some government conspiracy against him. heh
The Fu Mancu episode was so bad even Joel & the bots admitted it. Near the end of the episode they didn't even have the energy to make the jokes about it.
The mads even acknoweledged this and hi-fived each other for bumming out Joel and the bots. Heh.
I remember watching MST3K when it was local on KTMA in the Twin Cites back in '89. It was great. This was before they started to play all those lousy b/w 50's films. There was a variety of Gamera, 80s and weird foreign films. FOr the last couple of years, it just went downnhill especially when people kept leaving the show.
I can just imagine the calls from cenile 50-something housewives to 911
"911" "help!" "whats wrong?" "its y2k!" "how can I help you?" "its year 2000! all those computers are going to crash and the power and phone lines will go out and stuff! help me!" "ma'am, the phones are working right now" ..
you get the point. imagine every woman who screams and cries who has called tech support thinking they broke their computer. they'll be harder on 911
The Who will always be one of my favorite bands. Many of their tracks are better live than in studio. One weird thing quirks me. On one of the greatest hits CDs I have of them, they have the "Long Version" studio cut of Wont Get Fooled Again, but it's actually shorter than the typical 9 minute length. Hmm. Was able to catch Pete in concert, and even Entwhistle showed up to play "My Wife". Yay
Q: Why don't the British make computers? A: They could not figure out a way for them to leak oil.
While it may be looked at as cooky, Dr. Freeze might be onto something. This working prototype looks as sloppy as ever, but I'm betting with some more design(and more importantly, testing on not-so-pricey hardware) he could have a cool(but not right now cool lookign)setup.
