If you can, try Cingular. They offer something called rollover minutes. Any minutes that I don't use, carry over to the next month. If I go over my package's minutes, I've got my rollover ones "as a backup" so I don't pay for going over (unless my rollover bank is used up).
I work for an agent of Cingular in the Metro-Detroit area. Things are going very well right now. We are in the process of going to GSM, which is capable of handling three times the amount of traffic that the old TDMA system can, not to mention the increase in data speeds from 9.6 kbps to almost 56 kbps!! I've had my service (TDMA) for over two years and have NEVER gotten a network busy or overloaded message and I use over 1400 minutes a month!
On a side note, with GSM Cingular will have phones that work with GSM 850/1900, TDMA 800/1900, and AMPS (analog). (Yes I said GSM 850Mhz). I've used a couple of the GSM phones and they sound much better than the TDMA do.
Thanks, I think i will take that offer of fluxbox on debian install. It's been a few years since I've used Debian. I've been using SuSe and RedHat lately and I've also been switching between KDE and GNOME on my "real" machine (Athlon 600) and they are both fine but I'm not enthusiastic about either one. I think a change is in order. If it runs good on my P133 with 48MB of RAM, it should scream on an Athlon 600 with 256 MB of RAM.
Thanks again.
I've been wanting to use my old computer for something lately but I thought it would be too slow. I've not thought about using a "lighter" Window Manager for my old Pentium 133 kicking around. It's been a paper weight collecting dust. I've never used Ice or Blackbox before. Anyone have a preference? What are the major differences?
The same problem happens to me. What about maybe putting in a heating coil as well as the fan, kind of like a furnace(having the hot air blown throught the holes)?
There should be. I would watch a show/channel that actually made me think, even a little. But for the most part they don't. Once in a blue moon a decent program comes on that makes you think about the topic that they are talking about, but they are all for entertainment. Um... isn't that what TV is for?
Nevermind, my fire on this just went out.
I have to agree. The Discovery channel doesn't cover anything like this. They always have some dumbed down version of everything "science" that pre-schoolers can understand. I have yet to find a discovery program that confuses me or makes me look up words on the 'Net or a dictionary. The Discovery channel IMHO is good to get people interest but not to go in depth into anything.

We have a Dish at work (I work at a cell store) and we get the BBC but I don't know if it was on. Not to mention the fact that I wasn't here.
