i'm all about trading music, but i'm not all about my mailbox being full of spam. maybe its good to let the control freaks come in and bully us a little, and maybe the spammers a lot.
now, i'm ok with not calling my house, but you can be sure that the next time i get a call from a tele-marketer, i'll ask to make sure they've cleared usage with magnus-opus before dailing.

i used to use absolute telnet. it made me believe in adware. it was a good program and i didnt mind the banners. but there were a couple ads that made it difficult to work. one had a flashing neon background. it was really hard to type in the console while it was flashing. i wrote them and complained... no reply.
i've been really unimpressed with how many members of the media are handling this. the washington post story is way more interesting than it would have been without the 'twist'
this was from people.com today - "Although the secretary declined to identify locations of the troops, Reuters cited defense officials as saying that they were in and near the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. " - i personally dont need to know this and clearly its in our advantage to limit information like this. its a good thing people magazine has such low distribution in afghanistan.

i send email when i'd like to get a response soon. i send an IM when i want a response sooner. the most immediate needs are dealt with on the phone.
